I always liked to learn in the real world context where the skill could be found. I learned languages by going to live in the countries where they spoke them. I learned to be a programmer by seeking ways to solve real requirements of my clients and by consulting with the masters of the skill on the spot. I learned to be a project manager by working alongside project managers in real situations. Instead of teaching software classes I worked with small cohorts applying software to solve their actual work problems. Real-life just-in-time learning has always been my ethos. With my recent masters of adult education, and now my doctorate in online education, I naturally gravitated towards learning-by-doing theories and practices. Recently, I developed an innovation to make learning hands-on equipment skills more real for a virtual learner. That is what brought me to EPM..how could I develop a way to bring this solution to the world? I hadn’t listened to Marisa and her Live Your Message presentation for more than a few minutes before I knew I had found the perfect answer for developing online education that genuinely serves the needs of a learner. She spoke my learning-by-doing language! The sophistication in the EPM still astounds and delights me. So many of the practice-based learning principles can be found here – "experience product" is a good name! My time for EPM was constantly hijacked by the intensity of completing my dissertation over the past 3 months. My mission statement made no sense to anyone until the aha! moment when I realized I needed to speak to a different audience than educators – I needed to speak to leaders at the helm of their education organizations. That required me to pivot from a $2K product to a $25K product (at half price!); and from individual educators to academic presidents and CLOs as my audience. That jammed me up for a long time. How can I do an MVP when I am immediately working at a professional level and need professional assets? For weeks, I was just paralyzed and had trouble putting my Chatterbox together. So funny…because I write thousands and thousands of words for scholarly papers describing the very innovation I am trying to sell. Finally, just now in January, I pushed through my fear and blocks. What was the biggest fear? Preparing to speak to executive level decision makers about money. I am still a little shaky, but I have spoken to two high-end decision makers and tomorrow I will have a conversation with a college VP. Each time I go through it, I feel a little more confident. I listen to the recordings and see where I can improve. Asking for that much money for my innovation takes practice to sound confident and to do those pivot points…even though inside I know this is a good thing for them. Kudos to Marisa for kicking us out of the “I can’t do this” mindset!! AND I COMPLETED MY MVP IN THE NICK OF TIME.
Your GRADUATION Story
I was having a problem designing a course. It was something I've been wanting to do for years. It was always to hard and I wasn’t sure what to do and it just made me feel inadequate and frustrated I joined Live Your Message and the EPM program and I found the way it was taught by Marisa and the team I discovered I could do it even though some days I was shaking in my boots. I went through each lesson and did one step at a time gaining confidence along the way but the butterflies still remain in my stomach. I have ended up with a course outline and I've got the start all ready knowing that I'll build it as I go.
Your FIRST SALE Story
I was having the problem of feeling I was always behind in the course (and I still am because I have only just finished module 3). I wasn’t sure what to do to really get my YesUCan Beat Chronic Pain Program to market thinking I won't be good enough for this. By joining Live Your Message and following each guided step I was able to get a real start on my Program and I realised I only need to keep one step ahead of my students and build it as I go.
I had a dear friend look at the work I've done and the videos too. I asked this friend to help me make sure my payment link worked and it did. I said I'd refund the money and was told no way I want to do the course.
So even though I don't feel ready, even though I'm scared stiff, even though I don't feel there's enough time in the day.... I'm doing this!

"I was completely caught in the „Mindf*ck-Problem (I realized that later in your program ;-)).
I wasn’t sure what to do next. I was puzzled, confused, frustrated even though I have been several times on TV, wrote and published three books, have a YT Channel and a „GELDSCHAU-Youtube-Live-Show.
I wasn’t sure what to do - the rubber did not hit the road, when I received an email to your Webinar from one of your, I guess affiliate partners: Mike Koenigs, who made me an „author“ with my three books.
My first thought, when I read the email: „another „american“ program - I bought and finished severals for many 10.000,00 $.
On the day of the webinar I worked and the webinar was „playing“ on my laptop in the background. I just listened with „half an ear“.
The longer I „followed“ your webinar it changed to „one ear“, „two ears“ and at the end I stopped working and was completely „awake“.
But the little red satan on my left shoulder still told me: „Don´t sign-up it is just another „woohoo, awesome, awesome American, we are working internationally product
in which nobody cares how we „think and act“ here in Germany…
And the little red satan insisted: „with internationally they mean: only english speaking“.
Nevertheless I asked in the chat: „Is there any German coach?“

I joined EPM and after a little frustration being with a not German speaking and writing coach, your excellent 5+-Star-Support handled the „challenge“. I joined Uwe’s group.
What did I discover? Marisa and her team are over-over-delivering!!!
I realized that I almost had all the puzzle pieces but these were in total confusion and I did not have the right sequence to „finish“ the puzzle.
I was several times told to start with/in a tiny tiny niche, but did not see it.
Then I followed every step of the EPM-program in the right sequence, step-by-step, doing my „homework“ - like I was told (German virtue ;-)), did not skip any lecture and the sky opened, was bright blue and I could see the horizon (kind of storytelling ;-)).
I could, see, live and feel that I can follow my ideals, ideas and path to help my clients: „aufklaeren“ (could not find an English word, sorry, perhaps it is „clarify“) teach, APPLY and really get them DOING things they really want.
12 days ago I delivered my first 1:few (5 clients) in a live Zoom-Session. I have forgotten to deliver some (important) details had some „glitches“, but most importantly my clients learned a lot and started directly after the session implementing what they learned.
I recorded everything and now have a first paper plane version to publish in experiencify :-). Since then we had the first two implementing Zoom sessions with these clients.
Result: I have a cool, uptone small group of clients who apply what they learned, they are winning and most importantly we have a lot of creative, applying energy and laugh a lot!
During the program I moved from stuck back in to my long forgotten FLOW: When I was 12 years old I used to help my colleagues in school, tutoring them in math and other school objects. It was always fun and I recognized I even learned more…

Your MADE A WHOLE LOT MORE Story
I was having this challenge on how to integrate what the parents said that they wanted taught to their kids in a program . It was three things … communication, social skills and leadership skills . It was really tough because I was told you should be focussing on one thing and I originally thought that one thing would be confidence . . I joined EPM and through our coaching calls I learned a lot from Missy . I ended up having a mission for both the kids as well the parents . I decided to strictly do communication skills and gave parents a Birds Eye View of what having that skill could look like in the future for their kids . I will acknowledge the fact that many of my students that enrolled were due in part with the help of a great referral who was a teacher as well her daughter a past student of mine . With a handful of my own sales and then 4 and counting of her students I was able to achieve more than my goal . I got 9 paid students and possibly 1-2 more in the next couple of days . I feel like this program not only helped me create a business and personal schedule but pushed me I to the uncomfortable zone where I really grew both personally and professionally.

I liked the structure of EPM so it was easy to get organised. Even that some life milestones happened, through chatterboing I was able to talk to a few contacts and former clients that became interested in trying this new thing I was creating. Soon I I enrolled them and I have been enjoying building a beautiful product with them. I am happy to continue developing my courses while I apply everything I learned on EPM.

I'm graduating without hitting MA. Yet. It's just around the corner, I'm sure. In the past I learned and accompished during courses but never landed in a position to get over that hurdle - going from laying out the road for future sucess to actual current success. Thank you so much for everything you taught us, and for the way you normalized the challenges and the range of paths. Even things like blog posts that were not a part of EPM, were incredibly helpful. Remember that one where you covered the difference between a tribe and a niche? I have a tribe. Yes it takes a little longer, but that is what I'm called to. That's what makes meaning out of the most difficult parts of my past. So thank you for helping me know I'm on the right path and by continuing I will get to my real goal. Caring for myself and my family, and saving companies and jobs.

I was chatterboxing about my product and the feedback I was receiving showed me I had to go back to the drawing board and pivot. I wasn't sure exactly what to do with what I had created so far over the past 10 weeks. I reviewed some of the teachings in EPM as well as the coaching Marisa had given me on a Monday coaching call and reached out to my coach Paul Keetch. A few days later I came up with a new, more specific program that addresses stress and how to decrease in 10 minutes or less. I shared my program with a friend to get her feedback and asked if she knew anyone who may be interested in joining as a beta tester. She told me she wanted to sign up herself and did so on the spot! I was ecstatic! My first sale!
