1) Feeling really grateful to Marisa Murgatroyd and my mastermind buddies from EPM and beyond: Sue Massimo, Valerie MacLeod, Sandi Jacobs, Barbara Decker, Januarie Appley Wood and everyone here who helped along the way!

I finished delivering my EPM program, Entrepreneur's Abundance Experience, last week. The feedback from students has been wonderful but the best came today from one of my quietest students.

She told me that the program was priceless and nothing short of fully transformational in her business. As a result, she immediately restructured her offerings and is already much more visible.

She also said that over the years she has worked with many world-class abundance experts (mentioning T Harv Eker, Derek Rydall, Christian Mickelsen) but that my experience program finally cleared the problem for her!

FROM THE FIRST MOMENT ON AN EXPERIENCE MASTERCLASS!

I've learned so much by going through this program and am very thankful for Marisa's awesome way to help you to iterate your way to awesome ;-)

A few weeks before this program started I've set an intent that I would like to take my business to the next level. I've already written 3 bestselling books, Online programs and sold beautiful feng shui paintings to start-up businesses. But something was missing, because I felt that I would like to work more personal and intense.

Your Graduation Story
I am one of those people who started from scratch. No product, no experience marketing or selling online and never offered an online course. I faithfully followed niche down profits up module and took to heart the ""get started project"" and picked the idea that came out on top of the fail proof business decision making model although I had some doubts (naturally). The project I picked was a class for other licensed massage therapists (LMTs). My first challenge was that training courses are often CEU based and hour based not value based. The first survey I did asked about CEUs and 90% of respondents said they were important or very important. From my research in the market, it looked like I would have to charge $97 and find 21 participants. I tried to make the course a little meatier by adding a workshop and marketing component, but it got confusing and unwieldy and in Marisa's words: a ""Frankenstein product"". So I stuck with the 21 at $97 after coach Paul said it was possible. The other factor that attracted me to the project was that I knew I could buy a list from the Oregon Massage Board of LMTs who agreed to receive information about classes offering CEUs. The list is 6,500 people and so the numbers were there. If I only got a conversion rate of .05% I could get the 21 people! It looked good on paper. This list proved to be the biggest challenge. I have a business. I am a solopreneur and so I do it all including sending out newsletters. I have a scheduling program that I use for email campaigns. I haven't had issues with ""deliverability"". In fact, I didn't know it was a thing until I started researching autoresponders to load my big list. Then the crushing news came that this was a ""cold"" list and that no one, absolutely no one, recommended sending out the volume of emails I would need to reach the number of people to get the conversion rate I needed to fill the class in the 4 remaining weeks. I talked at length to the people at a company called Woodpecker and they recommended I send no more than 50 a day. I did the math and that means I would have send out 2100 for a 1% conversion rate to get 21 people. At 50 emails a day that meant I would take 42 days or 6 weeks. Just to send the emails. Not to have them go through the whole process. It would also be staggered and not everyone going through the process at once. It was the first week of January when I realized this and I still had to learn activecampaign. That was a steep learning curve and took a week in itself. Coach Paul and a friend (who did the EPM and recommended it), said I should just start doing cold calls to some of the people on the list. I did about 30 calls and only got 2 people on the phone. They agreed to look at my course and give me feedback. I left messages, but only the two people responded. I also did the give them what they want campaign and that worked out better. I didn't have a huge response, but 12 people went through the funnel and 3 people bought the course! I have a few other follow up calls and maybe can get the numbers up 5 by Monday. So that is my journey of trails and tribulations.
When I do this again, I will do it very, very differently now that I have a ""birds eye view"" on the overall process. As I last ditch effort to make mission accomplished, I very quickly developed a program for $497 that included massage, yoga therapy and coaching to see if I could sell 4 of them from my already established clients. I had two people interested so far. No one had bought yet, but maybe next week I will find four people!

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?
Here are the most important things I learned:
1. For these kinds of online courses, make them value based. I would say, don't even put ideas that aren't value based on the fail proof business decision making protocol.
2. don't buy cold lists if you only have 10 weeks to complete a project. I could have used the information about cold calls lists way earlier in the program. For people like me who ignorantly thought you did email marketing by buying a list and sending out thousands of emails in a day, this understanding would have influence my project choice considerably
3. people buy on value and belief and a money back guarantee can get them through door (it worked to get me through the door of EPM, although with the holes in my knowledge and the steep learning curve, it proved that I couldn't quite make the mission accomplished). but, it got me to do it.

Just an update here. I'm into week two of the launch of my first 14-week 1:few weight loss masterclass with 3 women enrolled. Final payments are due next week, and will put me over my mission accomplished goal. ????????

While iterating your way to awesome is great, I underestimated the amount of work involved to deliver on a customized experience program. I am doing this while also completing Next Level Mentorship activities ???????????, and have a 10 day vacation that starts next week. Not complaining, timing is not always perfect, and neither is life.

More good news.... originally, I was concerned that my price was too high. But not anymore!! ????????My clients are getting a great product at the price they have paid. So, I have no qualms about where I set the price point. In fact, I may raise the price for the next go round of this product. :)

Being a successful Sales training & development business owner for over 17 years, was awesome allowing me to create an amazing life for myself and for my family. Two years ago I met my partner, through my radio show Enlightenment of Change. We decided to start a business together (a second business for us both) but not sure what our product should look like. I am from the corporate world, where I teach live sales, service & coaching skills classes, with clients sales teams. My partner, Dr. Mary Ann Pellegrino, came through the University ranks holding various positions including Dean.

We are both communication experts and both teach how to communicate more effectively with our clients. We teach that how we communicate directly correlates to our level of success. With this foundational expertise, we worked with a programmer and developed and amazing free Communication Style Assessment (CSA) (available at www.wisdomdecoded.com) that our clients were able to take online and bring to life during our training & coaching sessions. Beyond this amazing online tool, we had no idea how to market or create a program using the CSA.

Most people in their late 50’s are scaling down, Mary Ann & I are scaling up! Our energy and passion can’t be controlled. We really do love what we do and love teaching. We bring a wealth of experience and a whole of knowledge and fun to helping organizations ignlotite their employees and business success! As we strategized about this new business, Wisdom De-Coded, LLC we realized we needed to shift gears from live training to create an online digital product that could be shared all over the world. We also realized that constant travel, across the United States, would become increasingly difficult as we age. So, we decided to create a digital online product, that we would be able to manage and maintain well into our retirement (although we don't ever use that word).

Here is where it gets interesting. Two middle-aged women, who have no idea how to create an online experience product seemed daunting! As always happens, the Universe reared her beautiful head and sent an email to my inbox, with a very interesting video from Marisa. I watched it, it was totally on board! I sent the video to Mary Ann and after watching the video together we knew that this was the missing ingredient needed for us to create this magical experience product.

During the challenging 10 week Live Your Message Masterclass we felt like we needed to pivot and shift gears more than we thought possible. Throughout the entire experience we did feel excited, challenged, exhausted, and exhilarated all at the same time. We hit mission accomplish by the end of the 10 week period, although at times we thought it impossible. We made over $4,000 in sales during our first marketing effort and have a ton of new clients ready to sign up for the second round of our Masterclass. By the end, using Marisa's proven plan and guidance throughout the Masterclass we realized that her step by step formula worked. We had created our own Experience Masterclass, we had figured out our target niche (which isn't what we originally thought it would be), and are ready to launch our first Masterclass on March 5th. We are already working on our second experience product to help digital marketers close more sales. We plan on launching that third quarter of 2018 so stay tuned.

The journey was amazing and well worth the lack of sleep (smile). The amount of knowledge and support Marisa and her coaching team (Rono) provides is well worth the investment and then some! Thank you, Marisa and the rest of her team for making two middle aged women find a new path ad revenue stream of income, that is more profitable than we could have ever imagined possible! We feel we can continue to be two ordinary women doing extraordinary things using our new found knowledge!

Your Graduation Story
I've found EPM a great structure to take a vague product idea and systematically flesh it out into a version 0.1 product so that I can hone it by delivering the content live with real customers. This is an important shift for me and is an excellent 'Lean' approach for getting feedback from the field without over-investing in producing 'hard to change' content.

I haven't achieved Mission Accomplished as there was a pretty steep ramp at the end of EPM that coincided with Summer holidays here in Australia. I found the marketing part of the course was more vague in terms of concrete deliverables than the early product development modules. For someone starting with no list, no current audience and a limited budget, this is the hardest part of the process to put together.

However, these are only obstacles in terms of reaching the finish line in the 10 week timetable. I feel like I have a direction and many things that I can test, and part of that is the confidence that comes from a clear mission and product delivery roadmap.

Overall, EPM is one of the best courses I've invested in and I have received 10x the value of the course investment so wouldn't even consider asking for the refund although I could have qualified for it.

Thanks for the genuine spirit in which the course was delivered by Marissa and my coach Domonique. I plan to come back to you as a success story down the track!!

Marissa and EPM has been so valuable to me, especially as a reminder to an old tried and true lesson for me, "Start with and practice the fundamentals. Stand on that foundation and build from there.
