What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?

The honesty, clarity that Marissa and LYM stand for. Understanding where I am in my business building. Understanding what makes a course stand out.

How did EPM help you become successful?

I was chasing points :-) I always compete with myself. Not give up. It is easy to plan but then when it is time to do the work it is easy to get busy doing other thining. i did not ask many questions but all the calls I listened to gave me a lot. I did not sell any of The Confident Business Wogs. All the support that was in the program was amazman programs. But the intent för that program was to warm up people that were new to me to upsell them to my yer long program. And thank to the chatterbox and the emails I talked to people and could sell them directly into the yearlong program. I actually turned down two people to my shorter program and one of them might attend the yearlong one.

What has been the biggest change in your business?

I feel more self assured in my delivery of what I am already doing. I know I can make it so much better.

What are you most excited about moving forward with your Experience Product?

Add more experience to my yearlong program

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Happy I joined and would love to be an affiliate next time she delivers this program.

Erica Woods (class of 2018)

I'm already an old lady and I've spent the past few years caring for my elderly frail parents. They passed away and it was time to get back to my own life. I'd always wanted to start a business and this was my first opportunity to try something. But what to do? I have personal experience of ageing, and I was a social worker specialising in work with older people and a carer for my parents and I could see how the world is changing. We are living longer and healthier lives. Computers have arrived and the Web has made the world more accessible. Retirement is not what it used to be . It has changed, moved on, like everything else. So maybe there's a business in this?

I stumbled along trying to educate myself about creating a business. Then I discovered EPM and was swept up in a whirlwind of knowledge and worksheets and webinars and peer groups. It was very challenging and I admit I'm not as quick as I was in my 30s and 40s and had only a vague notion of my business idea but I stuck at it, enthused by Marisa and our coach and determined to make a serious effort to launch a business and learn from the attempt and then maybe launch another one. So I've made a good start and created my prototype and am preparing for a Stage 2 launch in the near future. I could not have done this without EPM and my lovely co-students and the patience and empathy of the EPM team.

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?

The material has been comprehensive and expertly delivered so not only did we get well-researched and practical information but we also had the benefit of an excellent role model in message delivery. Huge confidence boost. Left me in no doubt that implementing the methods taught gave an excellent basis for starting and launching my own business.

How did EPM help you become successful?

Key elements of the course are the empathy and confidence-building of Marisa, the team coaches, admin people and the support staff involved plus the encouragement of peer groups and the real sense of being part of a tribe of entrepreneurs. Marisa's 'Laser' sessions were incredible, so incisive and so relevant to the questions I had about my own business efforts.

How has EPM and your success impacted your life?

I am in the later stage of life and spent some years caring for my elderly parents, both of whom were frail and in poor health and they died within a few months of each other. Starting a business has always been an ambition of mine but my life has had to be on 'hold' until now. EPM has been a challenging and rewarding time which has given me the confidence to create my business schedule and hugely enjoy developing my dream - I hope the first of many. Although I see the benefits of ageing, it's also true to say that I 'm not as quick as I was in my 30s and 40s and I've been inspired by the younger entrepreneurs with their energy and determination and the patience and understanding of the team delivering the course. Being part of the EPM tribe truly feels like being part of something that will contribute to making the world a better place.

What has been the biggest change in your business?

Before: I wanted to start a business and tried to figure out the best ways of setting about it. After: I've been exposed to sophisticated marketing techniques [which would have taken me years to discover, plodding along on my own] and essential principles of business organisation. All this, in an atmosphere of camaraderie, encouragement, energy and optimism. The biggest change in my business? From tenuous idea to actual entity with a pathway ahead and exciting prospects.

What are you most excited about moving forward with your Experience Product?

This first online venture is teaching me a lot and opens up new inspiration in many directions. I doubt I could have done this without EPM.

Before, having a business is just a wish; a dream that I have written down as a goal to accomplish. With a full time job, 6 kids still at school with many demands...and a busy life as a volunteer, having a business is too far-fetched and just a wishful thinking. After coming across EPM, I know this is the golden opportunity for me to jump and go for it.

I got clarity on my niche and I now have a different view on marketing. I have developed courage to reach out to people to share my gifts. Although I have not fully launched the marketing of my program yet, now I have the knowledge and tools to do so. Embracing EPM gives me clarity to develop an EP, market and deliver it. I have decided to set the Mission Accomplished date to a later time. I have the confidence to start my own business , and the best thing is that I have discovered means to work both on my business and on my day job as a University lecturer.

I have started the delivery of the program with 2 beta students. My aim is to get the modules to be developed and then I can offer the PhD Blueprint Masterclass for Moms as a short course under the University's Business Department.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the EPM family. It was challenging to attend the coaching calls live because of the 14 hour time difference ( I have to stay up till the wee hours, or have to listen while preparing breakfast, driving etc etc ). Special thanks and a big hug to the amazing coach Samara for the motivation and insights. Thank you Marisa and the LYM team!

I was stuck, paralyzed by fear of not being able to do what is really meaningful to me, following my passion. I had tried marketing that I had been taught in other programs to little success. The normal "how to" steps just weren't working. I was hugely stuck in my niche, my languaging, and my skills to market. It felt heavy and I nearly gave up. Then I happened upon EPM. Through more exposure to marketing magic, the genius of Marisa and the EPM team I began to absorb the how and why of EPM. I brought a product to market with a clearer understanding of what I was doing, who I was serving, my mission, the pain points I solve and the benefits I brought to the table. I got through my block of I have to be perfect.

I fully understood for perhaps the first time in my life, iterate your way to success. Despite knowing that consciously, I got it on a whole new level with EPM. I had no idea how my perfectionistic tendencies were standing in my way, particularly in my marketing of providing a much needed service to help others. My passion has been unleashed and clarified. Creative juices have been injected into my business, I'm so excited to watch it unfold as I make consistent steps forward! Thank you Marisa!

How do I share the gold mine of knowledge I have in my head? That has been my question in the last two years. Why? I share knowledge and experiences in my coaching practice to my coachees, one to one. I’m happy and fulfilled doing it. And I want to do the same with more people in small groups.

I love to share practical and applicable knowledge; I see the results my coachees have by accepting the challenge of a mind shift. When having the tools to ask the right questions, to see what is going on, to understand the root causes of their business and personal life and being empowered to make better decisions, they become more capable and competent; they know how to define the right problem, the context, and the resources to solve it.

How do I capture everything I have in my head and files, organize it, and create models and systems the way my coachees or students want to learn? To do it 1:1 it’s easy. But how to do it for a group of students and have the same results as in personal coaching? How to create a product they can live, learn, integrate and apply with success?

One day last October I received an invitation from Thinkific to attend a webinar; I had been exploring platforms for teaching. At the last minute I decided to attend, it was an interview. I was blown away by the authenticity of Marisa Murgatroyd. She was giving the answers I’ve been looking for in creating my product, she was talking to me. I followed the EPM Launch and signed up. Today I can say I can create a product with a mission, to my niche, women entrepreneurs.

The problems I’m solving:

As women entrepreneurs, we love to share ideas and get opinions, to help, to brainstorm, to transform, to find solutions, to increase profitability. Yes to share, but in the right place at the right time with other women with the same interests.

I’m creating this space.

I’m creating a mastermind, Emprendedoras Mastermind – Rentablidad y Crecimiento, all my work is in Spanish, my mother language. This is a small group, five committed women from different countries; we will meet online for 12 weeks in a Board of Directors setting. They understand this is a pilot; besides being the Coach facilitator, I’m also teaching tactics and strategies in 6 sessions/ short classes with video and exercises to be released twice a month and to be discussed at the end of the Mastermind sessions.

I have identified the benefits of Emprendedoras Mastermind as follow:

Clarity –in personal & business values - Alignment in both Tactically thinking – asking the right questions –finding the solution fast

Profitability – reaching the desired level and having a plan

Community – like minded women entrepreneurs, elevating standards

In mid-January I did a Chatterbox campaign; every year I get in touch with ex-coaching clients, I have a very good relationship with them, and I enjoy the beginning of the year calls, the sharing, and updates. I introduced to them the idea of the international mastermind for women entrepreneurs, 11 of them asked questions and showed interest, 5 of them are ready. I’m working to have it ready on February 15 to open for Applications and sign-up.

End of this chapter and the beginning of a new one is coming. Thank you

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?

There were so many little nuggets that helped me tweak my very young group program (I launched the pilot group of 8 people in Jan 2018), from pricing to mission statement clarity to just the outstanding level of training, presentation of content and sheer production values offered in EPM. I'd say my biggest takeaway was the Mission Accomplished Renewal program, which I completely re-formulated during EPM - I took it from an amorphous continuity program to a solid 6-month package, properly conceived, priced and marketed. I sold over $30K on renewals alone, almost 25% of my total revenue for the launch!

How did EPM help you become successful?

Honestly, I had already heard/learned/gleaned a great deal of what Marisa trained on during this course as I am an experienced entrepreneur, but the total package of EPM is IMPECCABLY designed, organized and delivered. I've never seen an online community or membership site like this, and LYM delivered 100% on the promise it made. Plus, there were many gems along the way, and lots of fun! So throughout my launch, even though I was not on exactly the same schedule as the EPM calendar (for example I was selling as early as November), I felt that added boost of support, clarity and accountability that pushed me to do better and better. Including the private clients I signed up during this period, it was a $156K launch all told! I'm thrilled!

How has EPM and your success impacted your life?

EPM become my gold standard for group programs, clearly!!:) I got exactly what I wanted, which was a peek into the world of Marisa's coaching and community, and oodles of seriously valuable, powerful business training. I now have an arsenal of tools, from spreadsheets to timelines to blueprints galore, and I know I will be referring back to the trainings and materials many times as I iterate forward (to awesome, obviously;)).

What has been the biggest change in your business?

Thanks to this launch, my fledgling coaching business now feels like an empire in the making! I was a full time career artist (TV composer and Broadway music director) for 25+ years, and turned to entrepreneurial pursuits online in an attempt to create long-term financial freedom, independent of the entertainment industry and its many foibles. In 2017, I produced my first summit, enrolled my very first "civilian" clients and earned about $70K in private coaching income with eight people. Just one year later, I have a thriving community of almost 40 high-end clients, most of whom are in my Mission Accomplished program. 2018 turned out to be my first $250,000 year and I plan to make AT LEAST $300K in 2019, with a stretch goal of $500,000. Here we go!!!

What are you most excited about moving forward with your Experience Product?

I am most excited to scale, build a team and explode the Mission Accomplished community! I'm seeing how Marisa managed to provide an extraordinary amount of personalized support and individual attention to 600+ participants, using a team of coaches, a beautifully executed platform and her own time, judiciously. I want to take what is currently an all-live program, primarily delivered by me, and build out the pre-recorded trainings and coaching team so that I am out of most of the day-to-day support, without sacrificing quality or results. It really feels like the sky's the limit on this program! Oh and also, I'm excited to add that "Experience Product" certification. I'm a sucker for great credits.;)

When I saw Marisa´s Webinar and heard her talk about the difference between an Experience Product and an Information Product, I was hooked! I was looking for a way to start my business, but I didn’t see how I could get to the people that I knew I could help when there is an ocean of information and courses and webinars out there.

My original idea was to translate courses of authors and leaders that I like and I follow because I thought it would be easier to reach those that could benefit from this. I might still do it with some courses later, but the big difference is that after going through EPM I got a lot more confidence and decided to create my own Experience Product.

While I was going through this program, the pieces started to fall into place, and I realized "I can do this." I know I still have a long way to go, but I learned so much and got so much help from my coach and all the coaches during the three weekly calls, plus the community, that I feel a lot more empowered.

I know this time I will go to the end because I think that this program gave me a strong base. I love the way Marisa tell us about her " mistakes" and how she solves them. She is such a genuine person! I feel very grateful to her and the whole team :-)

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?

Many, I learned a lot. But if I have to name one, I think it would be the Heroic subscription.

How did EPM help you become successful?

It gave me a solid knowledge of how to develop and market a product in a different way rather than the traditional one, by using the experience product formula. And very important, it gave me more confidence in myself and my product.

How has EPM and your success impacted your life?

Even though I didn't hit Mission Accomplished yet, because I decided to launch later, I know that after all I learned and all the tools I got, I will succeed very soon. That makes me happy and give me a lot more confidence. I feel more powerful and confident!

What has been the biggest change in your business?

I was going to deliver products (mostly courses) from other people on my platform. I wanted to create my own products and courses but I thought I didn't have enough knowledge to design and develop my own products. Now I know I can do it.

What are you most excited about moving forward with your Experience Product?

I think it would be to present and market my fantastic experience product in my amazing Heroic Website.

Karen Tankersley (class of 2018)

I have been an online course creator for about 5 years and have about 15 courses that I sell to school teachers on how to improve their teaching and relate to their students in more effective ways. I have a lot of experience in this area having been a school administrator and School Professional Developer for the past 15 years. My courses up to this point are popular with students and receive what I considered "good" reviews. The courses had the typical type of curriculum that teachers would find in an online college class since my first experience in the online world was in fact, creating online university classes.

In my old courses, there were a few videos, some discussion boards, stuff to read and some practice-based activities to do. While I used module objectives to guide the content, designing a mission for the course and for each module was more inspiring and motivating. During Marissa's training I realized that although the course had meaningful information, and I tried to change it up by using several modalities, it could be a lot more fun by designing in some points of unstoppable momentum. I am now designing a totally new course and using what I have learned in the EPM course to make the modules more focused on the module mission and future self vision. I think the new design will provide peak emotional experiences that will keep my students wanting to keep learning new content from week to week.

During the course, I couldn't wait for Tuesdays and Thursdays to see the new content that Marissa would provide. I want to create courses that people can't wait to open and work through just as I did with EPM content. I feel that I can now create exactly that kind of course for my students. The only overwhelming thing for me now is how to find the time to now go back and recreate my 15 older courses in the same image! But not a bad problem to have, I think! lol

I also learned new ways to approach marketing - the one biggest area that I most dreaded in my business. I had seen people use many of the techniques that Marissa taught us in Module 4 but I never really understood how to implement those ideas in my own work. I gained a lot of good insight from module 4 that I can use to expand and grow my business.

I am looking forward to our live event and hope to continue gaining great ideas that I can use to build and grow my business. I have totally enjoyed EPM and what we have learned in this course! Thank you, Marissa for a great learning experience!

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?

I really liked how Marissa blended static slides with video and made it fun to learn the information. I took another course from another provider that basically said fill up each module with a bunch of videos under 10 minutes each. I was not interested in watching their information and did not find it fun to learn. With this class, I looked forward to getting to my computer every Tuesday and Thursday to see what new information I would get. I also liked the Friday Tech sessions.

How did EPM help you become successful?

It motivated me to finish the learning modules and put together a new and much improved course. I have developed over 15 online courses in the past and they have sold well and been popular but none of them have the special "pizzazz" that I believe my new one will have. It has taken me twice as long to produce this one since I am creating meaningful videos but when I finish, I want to go back and experiencify my other courses to make them better as well.

How has EPM and your success impacted your life?

Same as how it helped me become successful. I don't have the course completely ready to deliver yet but I have written all of the scripts so now it is just a matter of creating the presentations and putting together the videos. I have already sold some spots in the course and I am hoping that when my current students see the new course, they will tell many, many others.

What has been the biggest change in your business?

I am creating a new website on Heroic. It is not finished yet because I am working on developing the product but I think it will be good once I get it set up and start sending traffic there. I appreciate the chance to use this new tool.

What are you most excited about moving forward with your Experience Product?

Seeing how students respond and where I will need to make revisions and iterate the product to awesome. I think it is shaping up pretty awesomely already so I hope my students will think so too. I am looking at course development in an entirely new way now and have lots of ideas on how to improve my old course collection.

Janine Gregor (class of 2018)

While I didn't cross into Mission Impossible, I am feeling much more confident about moving forward with my business as it is my wish to complete one line across my Customer Journey. I'm leading people half way through their journey with me. I find them their VA and they are happy but then it all ends there.

There is so much more that I can offer business owners. Currently, that is to make VA matches but I want to fill more holes in their businesses. By creating the "How to Partner with Your VA and Double Your Webinar Sales" product in EPM it made me realize that I might specialize with offering VA services, perhaps by building specialized teams.

EPM has me thinking beyond what my business has been and that perhaps I can develop specialty VA services. David Guido

Before EPM, I was doing everything backwards. I am a Zig Ziglar Certified Coach and Certified Trainer - and as such I have the honor and privilege to coach and teach using Zig's time-tested material. I have also enrolled in and graduated from one of the most well-known online product creation and marketing programs in the world.

I also took courses in 3 other online marketing pro. Tens of thousands in programs - maybe 4. And all I did was lose a ton of money. What was I doing wrong? I was trying to sound exactly like Zig and the trainers/coaches I had. I was trying to fit their scripts into my personality. I was trying to make the Ziglar programs - and the proprietograms I created - fit into everyone and everyone.

Then EPM came along. I have discovered the keys to making this actually WORK for me! To have a specific niche before anything else...and a niche I am passionate about, that I can serve (and WANT to serve with unbridled passion). To determine the offer and the experience based on that niche. Then determine the marketing and delivery of the program...based on having all the crucial components in place first. I did not have any success with MoMENtum Academy and I am discouraged. Even disappointed.

However I KNOW I have the process at my fingertips that has allowed me to find my true voice, sound perfectly imperfect, creating, promoting and delivering the products and programs that are truly on my heart to deliver. And this has my VERY excited for the future!

Thank you for the massive course correction on how to do this Experience Product thing! I know this is the way to go and that it will eventually yield success, not just financially but more importantly in serving large numbers of people. The right people. The right way - my way. And I owe that awesomeness - and confidence - to EPM! Thank you!

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?

I had invested heavily in EA and a little in PLF previously. In EPM I saw this process from an entirely different perspective. Seeing the creation of my program from the client-first perspective - and not worrying about the marketing or delivery until the product mission and niche was established - was a huge game-changer for me...and made me feel more confident in what I am offering and that it is the right thing to offer, for the right reasons. Looking at things in this "order" also makes the creation, marketing and delivery of the program easier to work through!

How did EPM help you become successful?

The program has not been a success but I still feel, with this new outlook/approach to creating an experience product (and seeing it as an Experience Product to being with), that EPM has made me far more successful at creating the right product for the right niche. The reason my results are so disappointing is precisely because of what EPM has helped me to become successful at: seeing the entire product creation & delivery processes in the correct order and with the proper foundation!

How has EPM and your success impacted your life?

I am discouraged and disappointed - but feel like I have the template to eventually be successful from a enrollment/financial perspective. This gives me the confidence to keep moving forward, despite the disappointment I currently feel.

What has been the biggest change in your business?

My approach. Being more real. Being myself...as opposed to sounding all cliche, as if I am following a template/script. I have many people comment on how much more "real" I sound when I shoot video, how much more authentic my emails feel; and how that will positively impact my efforts and my business going forward. Before I sounded like I was reading from a Burchard or Walker script. After I have found my authentic voice.

What are you most excited about moving forward with your Experience Product?

Re-visiting MoMENtum Academy as well as utilizing the Experience Product process for 2-3 programs that have been on the drawing board for over a year.
