Sue Massimo (class of 2018)

Before EPM, I had my idea for a course, but I knew it was missing something regarding engagement and keeping my students involved. I originally joined the Experience Product Masterclass because I wanted to make my future programs more fun and engaging for my students while they learned their material. I wanted to know how to add aspects from gamification to my ideas for the course I was developing especially because I would be working with young teens and their parents.

Well, Marisa’s course not only taught us about adding engagement and fun to our programs but took us all through our own “experiences” along the way. During EPM, I experienced those “wins” myself and two big ones stand out the most.

My first big win was learning how to make sure all my students have small wins along the way and not just at the end of a long module. Plus, that a win wasn't just checking off a box of completion at the end of a lesson but that an actual action took place, and at least a small accomplishment was achieved. Adding the elements of engagement and wins also made me much more confident in the program’s value but also in my confidence to promote the course to my community.

My next big win concerned how to market my course. Before EPM, I wasn't sure what my best marketing efforts would be, but I assumed it would be the typical online marking efforts that are popular now like FB ads, building a large email list, getting a lot of followers and likes on the social media platforms, etc.

However, during EPM, I discovered I didn't have to do all that but that I had other simpler options to start with. That was a big game changer to realize that I didn't need to spend a long time building a list and a big following on the social media sites. I also learned to fine-tune my message so I could better reach my audience which helped me choose my best marketing plan. Then, I was able to confidently take my message and began making personal contacts and presenting the program to my community.

My biggest win, I suppose, is that upon graduating from the Experience Product Masterclass, I genuinely have a product that is fine-tuned down to the messaging and marketing and that I’m proud and confident to release it to my student and their parents.

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?

So many! I came here to learn how to add gamification to my ideas for a course especially because I will be coaching young athletes. However, by going through all the steps, it helped me break down every area and fine-tune my message so I better reach my audience. Plus, I really needed the marketing training that you offer which fit my model so much better than most internet marketers promote.

How did EPM help you become successful?

Again, so many! I think fine-tuning my message down to one concise statement really helped my marketing. I have been able to use it in all kinds of marketing efforts that I have never used before.

How has EPM and your success impacted your life?

I guess the main way has been giving me the confidence to promote my program and to charge what my program is worth in the future, even though this is a Beta program at a Beta price, mainly to make sure the young athletes can navigate through the Thinkific platform.

What has been the biggest change in your business? Before EPM, I wasn't sure what my best marketing efforts would be but I assumed it would be the typical online marketing efforts that are popular now like FB ads, building a large email list, and other social media marketing ideas. However, during EPM, I was able to solidify my message and began making personal contacts and presenting my program that way to my local community. That was a big game changer to realize that I didn't need to spend a long time building a large list and a big following on the social media sites. I made a great sales page in Heroic which will help reach cold traffic which will lead to a consultation where they can get to know me better.

What are you most excited about moving forward with your Experience?

I have it all dialed in moving forward except hopefully Thinkific will be adding some gamification to help my students stay excited and engaged throughout the program.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I have paid for many programs in the past and still didn't have a business nor clients. Now with EPM, I have both!!!

I was going around in circles in determining what the next step would be to grow my business. I was confused on what to include in a program, and how to lay it out. THe EPM program guided me through the process to develop my EP program from conception to markets to what is important to retain participant engagement. By the end of the program, I had a clear way forward for development of the program, pricing, and marketing methods.

Not only have I been able to create a thriving lifestyle business online, but I've also learned the "EPM" secrets to helping others do the same and it feels amazing! Now im able to help shortcut others peoples success to avoid the rough road I had to find my lifestyle bliss and it wasn't an easy path......

Until recently, I could only fall asleep if I had a few drinks…mostly tequila. On the outside it looked like I had it all together, but internally I was physically and emotionally being ripped apart with the demands of my management job, that was sucking the life out of me. I would put on a happy and confident exterior but really, I was pissed off and uncertain about what to do next because I knew I couldn’t keep this up for 30-40 years. Something didn’t feel right….wake up...punch a clock...trade time for money….come home...stressed and anxious….take a few sips of tequila to ease my anxiety…..fall asleep….wake up...punch a clock…. Etc…..

Something had to change… So I could have gone back to school, but didn’t have $100k to toss at the traditional education system. Feeling anxious and ambitious to create a better life for myself, I was then introduced to Adventurprenuership.

During this adventure into entrepreneurship time flew by….

I spent 18 months trying to create a remote wealth machine, I spent ALOT on attending events, courses, masterminds and various software products to try and “figure it out”

I was determined to wake up to that “One Day” dream.

“One Day” I will:

-Have more time and money to travel the world creating new experiences/memories

-Have a steadily growing savings account to safeguard from a “day of disaster” or unplanned expense

-Get rid of lingering credit card debt

-Have a fridge filled with organic superfoods and guilt-free tasty date nights with my wife.

-Have plenty of free time in the day to still take care of my body , keeping it strong and functional for daily tasks

-Enjoy comfortable living in an ideal location

-Be Surrounded with a group that supports my dreams and encourages me to stay focused.

-Prove to myself and my parents that entrepreneurship was the right choice

The vision of that ONE DAY was so vivid in my mind I could taste the fresh foods, see my wife smiling on our luxury vacation getaway, and hear the congratulations and admiration of friends and family complimenting me on a job well done. But I would be lying if I said that quitting didn't cross my mind.

However, I had met and seen so many others finally make it work for them using the internet. I knew I was just one big breakthrough away from making the ONE DAY happen for my life… As the months ticked by Id continue to clock in and clock out, becoming short with family, distant to my wife, dreading the questions anyone would ask about my business attempts, and just feeling like a complete FAILURE.

But I finally found success in 2017 and my business was off zooming and booming! I tried to teach others how to do it but I never had any success… I’ve always seen myself as a soldier on the front lines - not the general leading the army… I couldn't teach anyone anything! But that was then, fast forward to now, in 2019… I’ve been paid $2,000 to $10,000 for my expertise and coaching!

I'm no longer worried about our future because I've created a business that fits my needs 100% and didn't break the bank to start. Friends and family are eager to learn what I do…. Doubters still doubt but I don't care…. My wife tells me she feels like we are in a suspended state of honeymoon bliss. (which makes me feel SUPER PROUD)

So what changed?

Well in late 2018, I found EPM who had cracked the code to turning "Ideas into Offers" So with a little bit of disbelief I listened as she explained how this is possible and the steps that you need to do to make it work and it all made sense once I was shown the whole process. I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. A wave of emotions washed over me as my gut sunk to my butt! This was it! I had found the solution that my future needed. And I'm not the only one. I know this all might seem a little crazy but I'm here to tell you it's possible because this is my life that I'm living now and if you're reading this post you're here for a reason.

Hitesh Rama (class of 2018)

I was having problems with developing an engaging and exciting product as I did not have a framework that was 'not vanilla' or one that created an experiential product. I joined EPM for that reason and have been blown away by how easy one can create a super product following a tried and tested framework. I have gone through 80% of the program and am confident that I will achieve my product development goals.

I have experienced the following transformations because of EPM: Been stuck on my niche and discovered how to move forward with it; result is clarity of my product-set. My biggest internal shift is my paradigm shift on developing products that customers WILL use; not just buy because the sales page was compelling but then collect virtual dust after purchase.

I believe that my email campaign will yield sales. I am confident that over the next 90 days I will be successful in getting sales and begin to build a customer base that will propel my business to the next level

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?

EPM has allowed me to think differently about product development. It provides a framework for creating interesting and engaging products that customers will utilise and actually use and achieve their desired transformation.

How did EPM help you become successful?

Even though I made no money (thus far) I am confident that I have the framework and tools to create, market and sell my products.

How has EPM and your success impacted your life?

I am sure it is going to impact it positively financially this quarter; I just need to finish the 'last mile' and give it a fair go!

What has been the biggest change in your business?

It is still a new business but I am more confident post EPM knowing that marketing mindfuck etc. can be overcome.

What are you most excited about moving forward with your Experience Product?

Making $$$$ and acquiring a quality customer base (list)

When I heard Marisa talk about creating an experience product that got students to course completion, I got excited. I am a lifelong learner and have invested in courses over the years that I never finished. Often I was overwhelmed with too much information, no clear path to implement, and was bored and not engaged with the training. I have had a course in my head for a couple of years but never put it down on paper. I think my subconscious was telling me "why bother spending time and energy to build it if no one was going to get the transformation because they didn't complete the program", after all my track record for completion was low and industry statistics confirmed I was not alone.

Experience Product Masterclass changed everything for me and I actually finished the entire program, all the core and overachiever lessons. I was engaged throughout the whole product creation process. The gamification, coaching, and community kept me moving forward instead of stopping when I felt resistance or stuck. I got excited about finally putting my own product out in the world and be able to do it in a way that learning will be fun for my students.

When I signed up for EPM I made the decision to go all-in with the training. This carried over to being all-in with my business and life dreams. EPM is not just about creating and marketing an experience product, it is also a guidance tool that helped me get clarity about my business and life as a whole.

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?

The gamification motivated me to stay on track, finish all of the training, and utilize my coaching sessions.

Gina Longo (class of 2018)

I was stuck. Really stuck. I’ve tried over the past several years to start a couple of businesses, none of which went anywhere. I got as far as registering the names, opening bank accounts, building a website, writing articles online, but… nothing. Not a client, not a hint of a whisper of interest, nothing.

I might as well have been whistling into the wind for all the good that hard work did me. It’s pretty depressing and very discouraging. So I gave up. I deleted that website and just let everything else sit there doing nothing, while I focused on the things that mean something to me: the book I’m writing about the first part of the three years I spent travelling solo with my German Shepherds around the UK, and the newsletter and website that go along with it. I made pocket money by walking an elderly gentleman’s dog occasionally. Needless to say, I wasn’t getting much of anywhere with an actual business. Then along came Marisa with her Experience Product Masterclass and I thought, “Why not? Nothing else has worked so far… might as well give this a go and see if having people light a fire under me might make a difference.”

And light a fire they did. The course was like being drowned in the proverbial firehose, but I kept at it, putting in more time and effort than I’ve ever done for a business before. In order to make this work, and to be able to incorporate my book and any future events associated with it, I had to start a whole new business. Coming up with a name was the hardest part, but once that was done, I got the rest of the details sorted fairly quickly.

That was a complication I hadn’t imagined when I joined EPM, but officially washing my hands of the old, failed businesses was something I’d intended to do anyway for a year or more, so this was just the impetus I needed to get my skates on and do something about it. Totally fresh start in the New Year, as it were, because I got my new business registered within the first two weeks of January.

Marisa and the coaches kept telling us to just get started, pick something -- pick anything -- and clean it up as you go. I can’t remember how many iterations of a Product Mission I went through before I arrived at my final (for now, at least) one, but it's probably at least a dozen. As a lifelong perfectionist who has historically waited until every last detail is immaculate, this was a bit hard for me to do, but against all my natural tendencies, I went with it, and so far, it seems to be working out. As with any new venture, of course, only time will tell, but at least I have something to build on.

Promoting my new EPM product, The PIC Masterclass, was, as you might expect, the hardest part. It’s easy to sit safely in your room, planning and creating, but it’s bloody hard to take your creation, stick your head above the parapet, and expose yourself to potentially fatal fire. Or at least that’s what it feels like, right?

In order to promote my own creation, I emailed and sent messages to people I hadn’t seen in more than a decade and/or contacted in at least a year, or in fact had never been in real touch with before. Just because someone’s a connection on LinkedIn doesn’t mean they’re someone you actually feel comfortable getting in touch with, but I took advantage of the holidays to send individual holiday greetings to Every. Single. Person in my personal email contact list as well as to Every. Single. LinkedIn Connection as a way to crack open the doors of communication. It was a nice, no-pressure way to let people know I exist.

Doing that took absolutely ages. I had to do it over several days, and it’s exhausting, all that networking, especially because it goes against every dedicated-introvert cell in my body. But it’s started working, because I’m getting messages from some of these people congratulating me on my new job: I changed my LinkedIn profile to reflect my Masterclass and my initial offer, and it’s actually getting acknowledged. It’s a nice surprise.

And that’s half the battle with launching and sustaining a successful business, isn’t it? Getting people to acknowledge you exist. In this oversaturated online world that can be really tough to do. As for what I’ve accomplished, I opened a new business (out with the old, in with the new), created an entire coaching program from the ground up, and got a good running start out of the blocks with marketing my program, despite my preference for hiding safely in my room, tweaking and perfecting. There’s a lot further to go, of course, but so far, so good. It’ll be interesting to see where all of my hard work will take me.

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?

It was a lot more work than I anticipated. I've started a couple of businesses before, but nothing ever had this sort of frantic drowning overwhelm to it. Then again, none of them ever worked, either.

How did EPM help you become successful?

Challenged me to step way outside my comfort zone and put myself out there for real. I'm a seriously introverted introvert who is perfectly happy speaking to or seeing no one for days on end, and having to talk to people -- or even write to people -- about what I'm doing was hard. I have not much problem playing instructor/coach -- I did that for years in the airline industry -- but those students were already motivated and, moreover, they were assigned to me. I didn't have to get out and hustle to find them.

How has EPM and your success impacted your life?

EPM dragged me out of the self-imposed exile I've lived in for the past few years and forced me to get in touch with people again, or to contact people I don't know, in order to tell them about The PIC Masterclass. I have high hopes for my book, which has been in the works for too long, and I'm confident that by hustling for my EPM product, it'll make it a bit easier for me to hustle to promote my book when the time comes.

What has been the biggest change in your business?

I have a brand-new one. On 10 January 2019 I closed down a business that had gone nowhere and registered my new business name (Trigpoint Systems) with my state government. Two days later I closed down the bank accounts associated with the old business and opened a new business account for my new business. I did all of this specifically to have a business that could be an umbrella for both The PIC Masterclass and for the book I'm writing, which are completely unrelated.

What are you most excited about moving forward with your Experience Product?

Getting clients and seeing if any of this hard work will actually... work. I've never done online coaching before, this is a completely new idea for me, and I'm curious to find out if my coaching system will work the way I hope it will help people.

Hilary Parry (class of 2018)

Not another course, I thought, as I got swept up into the webinars, the flashy videos, and the PDF urging me to buy it NOW. I have taken a lot of courses. A LOT. Some of them were absolutely awesome. And some of them I barely used... and once I got behind (procrastination, thy name is Hilary), there was no one reaching out to me to see if they could help me catch up, or even asking me why I wasn't engaged in their course.

Why would they? They already had my hard-earned cash. It was time for some savvy shopping. It was time for me to think about my course deal breakers and must-haves. And it was time to invest in courses that really cared about MY success... because my success in their course meant THEIR success, too.

So when Experience Product Masterclass came my way, I thought You know what? I’m going to outwit this one. I’m going to download ALL the free trainings and the PDFs… and I’m going to do it on my own, so I don’t have to pay one red cent. I did exactly that. Can you guess what happened?

INFORMATION OVERLOAD.I felt the overwhelm, the bile in my throat… my superiority complex went right out the window when I attempted to just take their formula and apply it on my own. Trying to apply everything all at once and feeling lost and guessing the entire time. I was overwhelming MYSELF, because the system was nothing without the explanation and the reasoning behind it.

I realized I simply could not do it alone. I bit the bullet, paid, and joined the course. And the fact that I am now launching The Tarot Intuitive Course? It’s a result of that work that I have been doing since the middle of October. It was worth every penny.

Here's what I learned: I couldn’t do it alone, and I wouldn't have appreciated or felt the value of the materials until I plunked down some cash in the "putting my money where my mouth is" variety. I also couldn't learn everything all at once. WHO CAN? Because they're right: information products are dead. People want experiences. You can learn pretty much everything you want to for free with the cost of an internet connection. But how do you know you're learning the most accurate information from the right teacher? Most of the time, you don't.

What I've found from the MANY online courses that I've taken, both for free and for pay, is that there's a difference between consumption of the course and taking action. You would think that the consumption of knowledge would be the more powerful piece, but it's not. Taking action is what creates momentum and drives you forward, in your business, in your life. Every time I pressed the send button on a marketing email, I wanted to vomit into my shoes… but the open and click rates didn't lie: they are far more popular than ANY of the newsletters I’ve sent before to my relatively small lists.

This journey through EPM has been INCREDIBLE. I've been a professional tarot reader since 2005, and EPM brought the fun back into my business... and helped me to remember that I'M the one in charge: Oracle in Chief! I feel so taxed emotionally and mentally at my full time day job that when I get home at night I didn't have the energy or strength to work on my own business. And when I did muster up the energy to work on my business? Normally I'd make only a few hundred dollars in my business each month.

But with EPM, I felt like I was having fun in my business again... it didn't feel like a chore to sit down and work on my business, and I was energized and engaged. It also showed in my finances: between December to January, I went from making $255 in my business to $1,481... nearly 6x more money in ONE MONTH! It's not just the money, honey. It's the feeling... and it's showing up in the best way for my clients too. Waking up to emails like this from my former business mentor: "This is a GREAT sales letter. DAMN. How'd you get so amazing?" I said back, "Maybe I'm born with it, and maybe it's the EXPERIENCE PRODUCT MASTERCLASS!"

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?

My biggest takeaway from EPM is that the guru on the mountaintop style of product creation just DOESN'T work! I have created offerings before, off in my own little world... and literally NO ONE bought them. I assumed, and you know what they say about assuming... it makes an ass of u and me! But here's what does work: asking your clients what they want, and then delivering it to them in REAL TIME. Even if I only am teaching the shit outta one student, EPM was totally worth it. TOTALLY WORTH IT.

How did EPM help you become successful?

The mindset shifts and unconditional support from the facebook group and my assigned coach was priceless beyond words. I didn't feel lost in the shuffle like I have in many other online business courses... and I felt like everyone really cared about my success... because my success is THEIR success!

How has EPM and your success impacted your life?

I just feel generally more confident and in control of my business, even when I am taking those leaps of entrepreneurial faith and getting outside of my comfort zone. I say it so often to my clients to go where the fear is will help you make the biggest strides... but it is often easier said than done! I find myself walking my talk way more, and being open, honest, and vulnerable about my business, which connects me to the people I want to work with the most, and the people who want to work with me.

What has been the biggest change in your business?

I've been a professional tarot reader since 2005, and EPM brought the fun back into my business... and helped me to remember that I'M the one in charge: Oracle in Chief! What are you most excited about moving forward with your Experience Product?

I'm most looking forward to teaching my course. Though I didn't hit mission accomplished, I do have 3 people enrolled in my first ever online class, and I taught the first session LIVE just last night... with tech snafus and glitches, my enthusiasm and theirs carried the day and there was SO MUCH MOMENTUM! Even though it was scary at first, I'm enjoying where the rubber meets the road and seeing where my first experience product takes me and my students... I'm looking forward to seeing the evolution of this course, which would never have come had I not been willing to see it through to the very end.

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?

It's given me the belief that I can create good quality products for other people from anywhere I choose to reside, which will be Thailand. I'm studying copywriting as I see this as a massive component that many people can't get their heads around. It's also made me realize that I while I can manage others time as a qualified Project Manager, I needed to improve my own personal time management, I've been following Brendon following your inspirational work.

What has been the biggest change in your business?

Before I was getting overwhelmed and chasing too many shiny objects, you've given us focus, and through undertaking more in-depth and better research the Program is becoming much stronger, and I believe saleable.

Susanne Heaton (class of 2018)

I was frustrated. I have worked at my business, Motivated by Nature, for 10 years and people did not seem to understand what it was that I did. The 4 Mega Niches created a huge AHA moment for me even before diving into the Core Track training. I had been trying to play in the Personal Development area...which is not recommended for 90% of cases! This was shocking and enlightening to me. Bringing people in the front door by focusing on health and wellness instead of trying to get them through the back door was a huge shift for how I look at my business. The other thing was how important it is to set up our websites to get people to call us ...instead of trying to capture their emails and build the email list. This approach is very different to what other so-called experts are telling us to do. It makes so much common sense....but as my late father used to say, " I don't know why they call it common sense, because it is not all that $#@!&*** "common"!

I focused on creating an online experience product called Wild About Nature Challenge which I just launched and my heart is truly warmed by the insights and synchronicities that are already occurring for the participants and we are only at Day 5 of the challenge. In normalizing the challenges right off the start, I helped one of the participants be able to pivot from having had a rough start to ending up having a huge realization and phoning to thank me. Another participant said that doing the challenge is similar to walking the Camino Trail. You don't need to travel all the way to Spain to find "the way". You can do it right out your very own front door! This feedback truly warms my soul. I want to be able to share all the magic and the wonder that nature shares so very easily, if we just slow down, look and listen, and this challenge seems to be doing exactly that. I am very excited to see where this path will take me and the lives that it will touch and transform (including my own). I truly LOVE getting WILD and being Motivated by Nature!

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?

That you need to continually stretch yourself outside your comfort zone in order to grow AND there is NO such thing as Failure...only Feedback.

How did EPM help you become successful?

I pushed through to try to hit Mission Accomplished even though everything was not "perfectly" in place. I am a recovering perfectionist and I knew if I did not push through to make it happen with the M/A as the goal....I might never do it. I was truly pushed out of my comfort zone: I did FB LIVES and gave out my cell phone number for people to call. I am doing a "Just in Time" delivery system with my current course for February, which I never would have dreamed of doing before. Even though it is a little unnerving cutting things so close to the wire, I am also better able to respond to any concerns or comments that come up in real time. I learned a lot of great techie stuff...that I am still trying to master but great to know of so many free and inexpensive tools that are out there at our fingertips.

How has EPM and your success impacted your life?

It is a little early to respond on this as I have just started to deliver my February program. The synchronicities and insights that have happened with the participants in the program so far have been very powerful for them and also for me. I now have a template to work from for all future projects that I take on.

What has been the biggest change in your business?

This challenge had been sponsored in the past by a local charity, so I had been paid by them to offer it. The charity, although they loved the challenge, did not have the money to continue offering it. I believed so much in it, that I wanted to see if I could get "paying" clients for it. I have (but not yet received as much as the charity paid me) and I am also looking at partnering up with some affiliates who are aligned in the future. I am looking at approaching homeschooling parents with this course as well.

What are you most excited about moving forward with your Experience Product?

I am looking forward to creating a robust new website and membership site that continues to help create a difference in people's well-being.

Jacinta Haggenburg (class of 2018)

After my accident in November 2006. I didn't have much contact with others. Living in another country with different healthcare system and opinions of how to deal with the problems I had. It was very difficult. They made my life a hell. Not fitting in the rules of both countries. My mother country didn ?t want to support me anymore and thought the doctors in my country weren't able to judge that. So I didn't have enough to eat. So I had to do something. My brother lent me money, so I could build my house with a family holiday home. I could earn some money.

After another accident and a rolling coaster time experience in a nursing home I was brought home by friends. I didn't want to stay a day longer. I could not do much, so I made a lot of contact with the universe. I got my little sickness benefit back and lived at the edge of live. Too little to live, too much to die. The holiday home did bring some money, but I had to pay my brother back. But in 2018 he gave me the possibility to do the EPM, after I saw the film with Marisa, I thought this is the right thing for me. The government let me down and can do the same again in the future. I didn't want to be a victim anymore. I followed as much as possible. I am exhausted now. But I hope in the near future to be able to start my program. Internet was something I didn't think about at all.

Now it is probably a door to my new live. I enjoyed the contact during the webinars. Thanks Marisa, Uwe, Murray, Christine, Don and all my fellow EPMers.
