Jeff Mesina

2020 was the first year that I stepped into selling my coaching services online. It was scary to step into a new form of offering my gifts to the world after spending over a decade of teaching face-to-face. I believed that I could make a transformational impact, but felt it was only limited to the physical classrooms that I could find. I trusted in the process and begin enrolling private coaching clients for my program which one of my first breakthroughs. What I didn't realise until I joined EPM was to both own and communicate the value I was providing. Before EPM, the best I was able to do was enrol clients in 3-month packages that ranged from 150-450 total which averaged to $50-150/month. Coming from a monthly average of $0 this was amazing, but didn't make sense as a long-term business model with the number of clients. I think I even discounted some of those rates because I was so desperate to work with someone. The EPM program helped me to realise that my own anxieties around how much people could pay, my level of expertise compared to people who had been coaching for decades and my social media presence compared with people with full marketing teams was only getting in the way of serving. In January, I enrolled my first eve $3k client! He agreed to work with me at $997 for 3-months and in a recent coaching session, he asked me if I would be able to work with him after our packaged experience because of all the progress he had already made. I've enjoyed working with him each week and can see the progress that he's making in his learning, confidence and attitude to challenges. My focus has been on delivering an amazing learning experience and I haven't even tapped into Xperiencify yet. Next month, I will start up another marketing campaign to bring a few more high-touch clients into my program with the confidence and testimonial to back up the results I can provide. Thank you Marisa and EPM team!

The XP and XXP trainings have been both invigorating and enjoyable. The application to real estate sales has been a little more difficult. I am working on the attractive experience actions that will convince the prospect to pay for what often has been a free part of the Real Estate Sales process in the past. In essence, I am offering up-front services that cost little with a bonus reduction of commissions (10X - 30X buy in cost) upon the sale of the house in which the client is currently living.

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?
Actions speak LOUDER than words!

How did EPM help you become successful?
Has brought me from a consistent procrastination behavior to an action oriented mindset that is closer to a business orientation rather than just social connections.

How has EPM and your success impacted your life?
Although there are only 10 hours to go before I can justify hitting the Mission Accomplished button, I feel comfortable that 2021 will be the most profitable year of the 42+ years I have been in the real estate business!

What has been the biggest change in your business?
Market dynamics and personal face to face relationship with the client and prospective buyers.

What is now possible for you because of your Experience Product?
My Last Hurrah! A genuine feeling of self-actualization! A meaningful legacy for my 25 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

"Hello, my name is Evelyn Falke, coming from Germany, living between Bremen and Hamburg, North.
Met Marisa at Christy Whitman's LYFT-Off-Event and loved from the first moment her powerful energy.
Starting as a certified LoA coach in the end of the year with a lot of ideas in my mind I found with this course a possibility to get them out to the street ???? "Teaching has been my profession for over 40 years. In retirement, I have been teaching a class in English for non-native speakers as a volunteer, most of them from Asian countries. Even though I was teaching at Level 4 and my students had the basics down and could understand most of what I said, I noticed that some of them were guessing at words while reading instead of sounding them out. I realized that those students that come from countries whose language is not based on the alphabet but rather a type of picture or symbol for a word or idea, did not understand how to sound out English words; and that in English, they could “read” any word, even if they did not understand the meaning. Many of them complained that they could not remember words they hear because they didn’t know how to write them down.

As a result, I started a class on English phonics and pronunciation. My first class was attended by over 40 people so I knew there was a lot of interest. I began researching how to present reading and spelling and pronunciation to Adult English Language Learners. I found lots of isolated tidbits on Youtube and online, but all were advertising for their class.

When Covid hit, and simultaneously my supplemental retirement income was no longer viable, I decided to try to take the course online. I did a lot of research but I never found what I felt was a really comprehensive, organized approach so I set out to create one. I had the created the content, but did not understand anything about how to market it and found YouTube videos online not helpful enough, although I tried Thinkific, but it just wasn’t enough.

I had seen Marisa somehow years before, but was not ready to create a course at the time and I’m not sure she was doing the Xperiencify then. When I saw her presentation this year, I signed up because of the promise of success in how to actually doing the business side and because of the concept of Xperiencification which I felt would be a unique way to approach the subject which can be a bit dry if just approached in the typical way.

I really wanted to finish this project and had made many promises to others about it. I put in almost a year on this project. However, I did not reach Mission Accomplished because the complexities of putting all the marketing information and marketing it to a non-English audience whose language and culture are so different and who uses different social media was just overwhelming. I should have just done a 1:1 from the start but my concept had always been an 1:Many online course someone could complete on their own. But it has been daunting in every way. The marketing to a non-native speaking audience was one area in which it seemed no one could help me. I plugged along and really worked hard, but even after all the training, I am still feeling overwhelmed with all that needs to be done to make this project successful to an audience with limited English skills.

I am still struggling with the desire to complete this project and yet it just was not possible in the 12 weeks, especially with all the extra webinars (which were great, but which limited my time to actually create my course with all its unique complexities. Maybe there are others who have a better understanding of the subject and of business than I have been, but it has just ended up being too much for me. (I had some experience with ESL but it was not what my degrees and training are in). I am not sure at this time if I will continue this project, at least to sell it because of all those difficulties. I still believe there is a lot of potential for the content, but marketing it is just too overwhelming for me at this time. I am teaching the content in my volunteer position, but those contacts are used to getting things free which makes marketing to those contacts I have even more daunting. I hate admitting defeat, but I guess I have learned what not to do.

I completed the trainings, but I am very disappointed I couldn’t complete all I really needed to do to make it successful. I just bit off too much. I am very appreciative of the content I have received and at least I have a roadmap to possibly create some other courses I am interested in and market to an English speaking audience. I would have changed my subject earlier on, but just did not have ideas for another course that I wanted to teach at the time.

I was having a problem selling and marketing my course. I wasn't sure what to do after trying to launch it in September with only 2 enrollments. I took many courses Amy Porterfield and others), hired several coaches, spent thousands of dollars and would end up not making it to the finish line due to overwhelm and difficulty with planning and executing. After finding EPM, I have a much clearer picture of what is required to succeed. I learned how to market, sell, and most importantly, I learned how to stay positive and keep going due to the support of Marisa and the coaches. I launched the course and enrolled 8 students and can't wait to deliver the amazing content and experience.

What specifically did you do to experiencify your program? Give us an example of a core experience you implemented in your product.

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?
I can do this, and get out and talk to more people

How has EPM and your success impacted your life?
given me the confidence to keep going to grow my business

What is now possible for you because of your Experience Product?
I need to think about this some more.
