Your GRADUATION Story
"I started this program with a vague idea of what I wanted to create. I’d selected my niche and had 2 ideal customer groups in mind.
My problem was I had an idea but not a concrete plan on how to turn my idea into a profitable and sustainable product that would be attractive to purchasers.
I knew in principle what was needed but hadn’t transformed the theory into practice. What I did know was I was offering a solution to address a specific pain point experienced by all online course creators along their journey to success. A roadblock that was stopping them achieve a positive impact not only on their own lives but the lives of those they wanted to serve. That sucked!

I knew how to create a ‘product’ but not an attractive ‘offer.
I knew I needed to embed marketing and sales into the process from the beginning but how to do that, in reality, was another thing. I was already convinced that creating an experienced product was a no-brainer.

I joined the Experience Product Masterclass because I had faith that Marisa and her team could help me achieve the stated mission statement. I just had to work through the process and the support was there to help me achieve it.

I learned that gamification and experiencifying a product can have an enormous impact on the learner. For a person who had no interest in gaming and a little skeptical about how these techniques would work for me, I was surprised how much this helped course progression as well as feeding the ‘finisher’ in me.
I discovered the power of the mission possible statement and its various parts. Watching Marisa turn ‘woo woo’ ideas into something that had a clear finish line was like watching a magical symphony unfold before your very eyes.

There was one point where I 'fell off the EPM wagon'. I became despondent about the validity of my product. The temptation to give up on it was strong. It really sucked thinking about the amount of time, money & energy I’d put into it to feel like I had to start all over again. It meant that I had to dig deeper to get back on track.

I put in the work, tried to suppress or at least hold in check my perfectionism, and got to offer an MVP without it being finished. That was huge as I had a significant roadblock about selling something that was ‘vapor ware’. It opened up possibilities of how to do so ethically.

This is the most amazing learning experience I have ever encountered.

The only downside … it has to come to an end and I don’t want it to.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart Marisa and Jennifer.

I already had a program I was selling, but was frustrated that my customers did not seem willing to pursue the best parts of the program. When I joined EPM, I realized that I was overwhelming my customers with information. I was failing to hold their hands and guiding them. EPM has been tremendously helpful in reorganizing my material and improving my presentation. The results are forthcoming.

Your GRADUATION Story
"I was certified as a health coach about 4 years ago, but never really did anything with it. Although the desire to help others with my knowledge and experience never wavered. So basically, there has been a small flame in my soul to do something great, but I just didn't know how to get started.
Then I stumbled upon the EPM. The course and the support are fantastic and engaging, and the 'no person left behind' policy helps insure we complete the course. While they won't do the work for you, they do everything they can to keep you engaged and moving forward.
I feel like I now have all the tools I need, and most of the work is finished. I am so thankful for the program because I know that I will iterate my MVP to awesome, and won't stop with just one program, as that is just the starting point.
Many thanks to the whole team at Live Your Message!"

Angela Sellens Drake (class of 2022)

"Having trained professional reflexologists for a number of years, and having come through the pandemic needing to adapt to hybrid ways of teaching, I wanted to offer an online advanced programme for reflexologists who had qualified and needed something more. I joined EPM in October 2022 and realised I was having a problem with identifying what I would offer. I've led professional and introductory courses but this felt like something in-between, in terms of length, and I wanted it to serve as a short advanced course - and it needed to be something reflexologists felt a need for. A survey suggested they are reaching out for knowledge of how to work with clients with particular health challenges, and that what is generally on offer are courses that tend to 'prescribe' a set of techniques to help with different health conditions.
To meet this, I initially thought to offer a specific focus for reflexologists to feel confident working with clients with dementia, but soon realised that while I have worked in this area for some time, this was not exactly an MVP for me at this stage, partly because I would need to back it up with further research and experience, and also because my approach is more holistic, as each client (with any condition or set of circumstances) is unique.
My goal then pivoted to identify ways in which I could help reflexologists to do what I have done - to value and deepen their skills and build confidence in their own assessment of how to work with each individual client.
I worked with Coach Uwe, mainly through my Milestone Tracking document, and he has helped me to clarify my offer and to feel it is good to start with 1:1 coaching and build things from there, as needed. I feel this is a good and unusual offer for reflexologists and should find a place for those who recognise a need to strengthen what they already know and build confidence in their own inner resources and practice.
My Chatterboxing campaign needed to be delayed (see my Mission Accomplished story) bit I managed to pick it up in January and graduate :)
I am still working to find a more powerful name for my programme - it has iterated several times - and I trust that will come as I clarify further the focus of what I'm offering. Side-door coaching from Marisa's sessions as well as from my coaching calls is helping me recognise what works best, and I will re-visit and extend the trainings to build on my initial success in graduating!
Thanks to the whole team and all who attended and shared the journey. It's been amazing :)

Your GRADUATION Story
I was having trouble understanding training online manuals. I wasn't sure what to do. It seemed something was missing and I learned the knowledge level of some experts hinders them from presenting their valuable information at an elementary level people with no knowledge could grasp. I didn't know what to do . One day I received an email about the Dalphamine Theory. I thought what could that be about? I joined the email and found it was the answer to my dilemma. Maybe it could help me with the problem I wanted to resolve. I had determined in my mind the problem was an " information gap" for new learners on the internet. I wanted to create an online course that emphasized teaching people the core information they needed to navigate the internet and to benefit from experts' training manuals. My course closes the knowledge gap and makes things happen for both groups of people.

Your MISSION ACCOMPLISHED Story
I was having trouble maintaining interest in online courses. They did not connect with my mission. I often felt there was more to the story and I often turned off my computer and thought I lost money on that deal. Once I found out what the Dapphamine Theory was about, teaching people how to connect with their customers and how to make the information less intimidating, I said let me give this a try. I was not disappointed. This course supported my theory about online learning and it showed me how to close the learning gap. As a result of this course, I gained the confidence to give a one-hour online Zoom course and participated in a Podcast interview about the offerings of my course. I would not have do either event had I not learned the skills needed to accomplish my goal of closing the information gap for people seeking online courses for their projects...

What's been the biggest change in your business?
My biggest challenge was organizing myself. I received lots of valuable informtion I could use but I realized I needed to orginize my information and use it as the instructors advised.

How's EPM and your success impacted your life?
I now see the possibilities ahead of me with the doors wide open and waiting for me to walk through them...no one can stop me. I have that control to do or not to do.

What's your biggest takeaway from EPM?
Dont give up. As Marisa says, " product before perfection." we will never be ready if we work towards perfection. Do what you need to do to get out there in front of the people and the rest will fall in place.

What's now possible for you because of your Experience Product?
"My goal is to pay off my home and help my family.
That is no longer a dream but a possibility because I have the mental state of mind to overcome the demons in my head that hold me back if I let them.

Jedd Bluhm (class of 2022)

"As a special education teacher for almost 20 years, and a freelance illustrator for the last 12 years, my idea of creating a unique brand of decodable books for beginners had floundered for the last decade. I would dabble at creating new stories and new artwork with the idea of getting them into the hands of children in order to prevent any unnecessary special education diagnoses for “learning disabilities"" in reading, but the teaching life didn’t agree with the entrepreneur life as easily as I thought it might.

I knew what MY need was for creating these books, but I could not get myself motivated to keep going with this project since I didn’t have a clue about how to make money with it and most other tasks were easier to complete. In the Fall of 2022, I was binge-watching YouTube business mentors, daily filling my brain with bits of info I hoped would be useful. As I was YouTubing, I would make playlists of videos that I would like to watch again to practice caricature drawing and facial expressions. I had never seen Marisa before October 2022, and found her making so many facial expressions that I “hearted” a few of her videos because they were an illustrator’s dream reference. Thanks, Youtube, for feeding me more content like that. I had already spent the last two or three weeks attending other people’s free webinars, so I also signed up for her webinar series, which eventually led to the Experience Product MasterClass.

I probably shouldn’t have signed up. I didn’t have the money. I never use a credit card if money isn’t in the bank. I couldn’t afford the $2500, so I had to choose the payment plan. I knew I was a good student, and I told myself I would just have to follow the directions and I would get the refund at least. Thank God the money came in when I needed to make the payments, but I agonized over the offer, and finally chatted with Coach Debra just before the doors closed for the year.

I believed that Marisa/EPM could help me get my product off the ground, and that when it happened, it was going to be worth much more than the price of this class, so I signed up.

Once inside EPM, I was excited and scared at the same time. My bank account was on the line. This HAD to work. I didn’t want to tell anybody about it, but when I did speak to others, I told them I just signed up for a business class.

EPM gave me an audience to speak with, listen to, direct me, and give me so much more than I have been able to entertain yet. But mostly, it gave me deadlines for taking actions. I have never been a consistent action-taker on projects. I get started, get involved, then leave the finishing for sometime later, if at all. This was not going to happen with my chosen project. The other projects would have to wait (some more). Coach Kanu gave me some early insight to just work on my books instead of doing the course, but I had a hard time believing her. I did both, and I have both. I like the books, and I’ll like “teaching” the course even better when I turn it into a series of videos. Who knows how much further I would be towards a 1:many product if I had simply taken her advice, though? I may be in the minority of EPM customers, in that I would rather get AWAY from teaching than run towards it, since I get to do plenty of that already.

I missed my first launch date. After that, I could NEVER imagine it coming until I stumbled upon Coach Emily’s script for the “Best Kept Secret” post. It surprised me that people actually responded to MY post within hours! Then I got nervous that I was going to have to show up and do what I was saying. My usual self would have let things cool off at this point, but Emily’s directions were clear: get them on the phone today. Thanks, Emily! I had so much more work to do to get ready, but I had to crash through it. I got two sales from four people on my first zoom call, and another one a few days later from the replay. With a grand total of $261 in sales and a new business checking account, it hardly feels worth sharing, but I have done something way out of my comfort zone in every possible way, so I definitely learned to trust the process and go for it. My next group is scheduled to begin on 2/2/23, and I have 2 people currently rsvp to the free info session/ “benefits” session.

I still have lots of advice to apply about Chatterboxing, but I can say that being steeped in the mindset of Chatterboxing is helping me actually make those steps and lose my excuses. I will say that it is hard to make sales “conversations” with my main targets during a normal workday at a different job, though. When I finally get some school district curriculum coordinator on the line, I will be so much closer to “making my money back, and a whole lot more.” I am using the project tracking document for sales calls and records, and have placed a few calls out of state, most notably to Hawaii, which I can easily call after work hours for me, since I am four hours ahead of them. The possibility of getting this kind of client is making me do all the final technical steps required to be able to actually provide my product to a big customer. Thank you, Marisa Murgatroyd and EPM crew!

p.s. I can’t resist sharing this little YouTube clip. You’ve probably seen it before, but I didn’t remember that my grandmother used to say “Heaven’s to Murgatroyd!” When I told my parents your last name, they immediately said that. I looked it up, and here is Snagglepuss with the famous line: https://tinyurl.com/3eehz3jx Enjoy!"

Winnie Sung (class of 2022)

Your GRADUATION Story
Being new to course creation, I struggled with how much content to include in my course and how to effectively market to the right clients. I was slowly figuring things out one step at a time but it was very time-consuming and it felt like it will take many months to be ready to launch my course. I joined EPM and found just what I needed! An implementation-focused program that goes into every detail about how to design, launch and profit from an Experience Product. The biggest takeaways were the MVP approach and the importance of progress over perfection. This made all the difference to allow me to launch my MVP in 9 weeks! Otherwise, I am pretty sure I will not have launched my course before the end of 2022.

Your MISSION ACCOMPLISHED Story
I was focused on getting my MVP launched before the end of the year and so closely followed all the coursework for Modules 1 to 3 to get it done! There were definitely some tasks that were easier than others. When things got tough or uncomfortable, coach Merci and the EPM team was always there to make sure I stay focused and sustained my momentum. My pod group was also very supportive and encouraging! Chatterboxing was also eye-opening, in that the specific pivots that we can use to direct the conversation into a possible client made my conversations much more intentional, with a clear game plan on how to proceed. When the time came when I finally took the first person to the closing pivot in an enrolment conversation, it felt amazing and I thought, "That's how it's done!"

Your FIRST SALE Story
I did not have an existing audience, but do have decent Facebook and LinkedIn networks. Based on the guidance from EPM, I crafted a survey and sent it around to friends, as well as posted it on my Facebook and LinkedIn feeds. I received a total of 80 responses, 50+ of which gave their email to receive the survey response. I proceeded to send out 3 emails to this email list outlining the results of the survey and additional information and resources on how to overcome these challenges. I launched my MVP to this group as an exclusive launch special for having done the survey and providing their email. My first sale is to someone on this email list. He said what I wrote in my emails really resonated with him and he felt he really wanted those things that I outlined, so he decided to do the program.

What's been the biggest change in your business?
I've actually launched my course and have paid clients!

How's EPM and your success impacted your life?
EPM has given me the tools and confidence to move forward with my course with effective marketing strategies. Getting paid clients means I am on my way to proving my idea and a whole lot more. It's exciting to see my vision finally becoming reality!

What's your biggest takeaway from EPM?
Start with MVP and start earning before iterating your way to awesome and investing much more resources before your idea is proven.

What's now possible for you because of your Experience Product?
The sky's the limit! Looking forward to positively impacting many more people with my Experience Product.

I have been facilitating trainings offline for many years but didn't have an online version and the marketing part was a big road block. I joined EPM and by doing all the assignments, step by step with feedback from the coach, I finally have a training I can sell and offer online.

Christine Randall (class of 2022)

Your MISSION ACCOMPLISHED Story
I have been coaching 1:1 as well as small group workshops and small group coaching (10- 25 people) off an on for many years, if I was on Shark Tank, they would call me a hobbyist. My clients have all come from referrals or from giving low cost workshops (this was many years ago, I stopped doing the workshops about 6 years or so ago). My clients have shared with me they get results, they like working with me and have found return on their investment. In addition to coaching I have been in sales in various industries, written a book and found success as an eldercare consultant, using my sales and coaching skills. However, with all of that under my belt, I have never felt like a legitimate coach. I have not trusted that I can actually help people to go from where they are to where they want to be, even though there is evidence to the contrary. I participated in a challenge of Marissa's and during that time started to see my value. It was like a slow awakening. I can't say that I immediately felt like I was a legit coach, but I could see that my thought process was beginning to shift. I have wanted to create a real program and an online course for a long time. I didn't have the confidence, the blueprint (although it had been promised in other courses) or the know how to get myself on track. I have been a student of other guru's who promise a lot , and while I always find something to learn, a lot of it felt very generalized. I joined EPM because it seemed like it was more detailed and personalized. I joined not really sure of the outcome but it just seemed like I would gain the tools, wisdom and actual actionable tasks to get me where I wanted to be. So here we are and though my experience product is not complete yet as I have had to pivot. (I put it out there my original concept and not getting enough interest) I am using the MVP mindset, my coaches advice and my own desire to see this thing through, to change to my new but not so new idea. I have been coaching financial reps for a long time, but now I am doing so with the experience product formula as my own blueprint. As I use what I have learned the outcome for me personally, I feel like a legitimate coach. Once I get the rest of this solid, I am going to be super excited to do lots of marketing. My result, my photo finish, is my mindset change, which is dramatic and my creating a process for my clients. A bridge to success for their own transformation.

How's EPM and your success impacted your life?
This part doesn't have to do with business directly, but this is a good place to share. I am a mother of one child, who went away to college this year. I have been a stay at home mom for the first 14 years of her life, coaching here and there, and other jobs. When we dropped her off at college, I came home to an empty apartment, no job and one coaching client. I found myself falling into a depression. I was having a hard time getting up everyday. I found the challenge and got inspired to take the course on EPM. I took it so I had something to focus on instead of my sadness. The refund was a big draw for me, as we;; as the milestones, everything that would really push me into action and hold me accountable. The impact has been faith in myself, what I bring to the table as a coach, and that I am ready to build this out as a real business. If I didn't have the milestones to focus on, as well as the weekly meetings, I think I would have fallen into a deep depression. I was inspired by my coach Emily, Marissa and the other students. I even continued to stay on track while I was in bed with a bad case of Covid , followed by a really bad virus two weeks after I had covid. I am very happy I found Live Your Message.

What's now possible for you because of your Experience Product?
I can grow my coaching business and be proud to say I am a coach. I will start to make real income , I want to make at least 100K with my new skills and tools.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
It is a great program, lots of information. I am hoping I will make my money back. Thank you to all of the coaches, the behind the scenes staff , my coach Emily. and to Marisa. I have learned a lot and will be excited to see where this can take me.

Cindy Wong (class of 2022)

I had the idea to help women in perimenopause but their symptoms were so vast. They included hot flashes, itchy skin, body odor, insomnia, belly fat and bloating. I needed to clarity to pick a core solution to a problem and also to make a program that I could sell online and eventually 1 to many. I joined EPM because I enjoyed the experience in the 5 day challenge to create an online course.. I loved the rewards, the sounds, the dopamine hit and I thought that by taking this course, I will created a program with the same features. I enjoyed the structure of the EPM program and the milestones. I learned a lot about how to create core experiences and how to word the features and benefits in a way that helped the client understand 'what's in it for them'. Finishing the modules gave me confidence to do chatterboxing and reach out to more people.
