I started out thinking I would do a business course on teaching people how to Network and then I pivoted to teach how to become a Trusted Advisor as I have successfully taught this before. And then I realized, I could actually apply it to (and I felt more drawn to apply it to) my new role (about to be announced so for the moment, I cannot openly announced the name) for xxx Ventures, a Family Office/VC owned by a very successful venture investor (he invested in Amazon, Shopify, Heliogen, Viome, Rebel Foods, Coupang and many more success stories and helps advise/has advised some of those original Founders). I pivoted to this mission. I got bogged down with life's demands and fell behind. I almost gave up and Marisa's team checked in with notes of encouragement. My coach (Matthew) also helped a lot by saying to those of us that were behind, you have two weeks left. If you buckle down and watch the videos and complete the worksheets, you can finish and he laid out how many hours a day it would take. I decided right then and there I was a finisher and that if they put so much faith in me, I would return the favour. I am glad I did and am now learning even more from the bonus videos. I should add the EPM "tribe" was very supportive and I am sure I will see them again soon. One thing that really stood out for me was the power of the 80/20 rule on Benefits vs Features. I cannot but notice now how winning websites and pitches talk about the WIIFM factor way more than simply the Features. The Benefits bring out the RELEVANCE of the Features. Thank you.
