Trudy Johnson

"I am graduating with 140 XP and 56 XXXP, but I have yet to launch my product. Though, I am getting close. In fact, I hope to start my launch in the next two days before I leave for an 8-day trip to Ohio to pack up my dad's and stepmom's home, put it all in PODS, and then bring them back to Texas. Fingers crossed. I have many reasons why I haven't been able to keep up with the pace of EPM, but suffice it to say that I've had a lot on my plate and I'm doing the best I can.
I've had to come to terms with the fact that, despite being extremely disappointed that I couldn't hit the Mission Accomplished button by the program's deadline, I still have a great product I am creating and all the knowledge and tools necessary to make $2,000 and likely so much more!
Having this knowledge and excitement for what the future will bring is my win today because I haven't been able to figure out how to do that for the past 7 years.
I wasn't even looking for a course to help me create a product when I happened to be introduced to Marisa and the Experience Product Masterclass. But, after hearing her message, I couldn't help but step out on faith, slap the $2,000 on a credit card, and jump in with both feet.
And I am so glad I did. I've always wanted to create a course and teach online, but I didn't know how to make it happen! I had so many ideas and a vision, plus some success as an individual life coach, but I wasn't clear about what and who, and how.
I've spent the last 14 years raising my second set of kids and working part-time as an administrative assistant, while also slowly building a website and coaching practice. But, the truth is, I have not made any real money to speak of. I felt that the best way to leverage my time would be to create a course and teach what I know online. I was observing and admiring others and was determined to figure out it, but it wasn't until Jon Morrow introduced me to Marisa that I realized there was actually something out there that would not only show me how but give me the confidence and know-how to actually get it done.
While I have yet to succeed in this endeavor, I feel confident in all the efforts I am making. Honestly, I don't think I would have put up $2,000 I didn't have without the money-back guarantee. But, I am happy to report that I was only a few weeks into the program when I realized that I didn't want my money back. Even though I haven't reached the mission of the program yet, I feel confident that I will make so much more by implementing all the training and ""iterating my way to awesome.""
So, my success has been to break through barriers, get clarity, and see first-hand how a quality course can be presented. I am grateful for all the ways that Marisa models for us how to create, market, and present a compelling message that changes lives!"

What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?
"I think my biggest takeaway is that I've stopped thinking everything has to be perfect. I don't even have my first module recorded (so may have to resort to my second choice of delivering training live, instead of recording it with slides, like Marisa), and that would have been an absolute no-go for me even just a few weeks ago. So, being willing to move forward with the process anyway, recognizing I often do my best work under pressure, is a huge breakthrough for me.
My second biggest takeaway is that I went from wondering if I could sell a course for $47-97 to believing I can (and should) sell my course for up to $497. And maybe later, when I have achieved some success, I'll be more comfortable charging $997 or more."

How did EPM help you become successful?
"First, it helped me to choose an audience, learn how to find and survey them, then get clear about what their challenges are and how to help them.
Second, I learned the order and structure for creating a quality course.
Third, the technology training and resources have been super helpful as there are so many options available. I like Xperiencify, as well. (Though it has been soooo time-consuming to put it all together.)
Fourth, knowing the formula to get clients and market a product has been instructive.
And, finally, just observing how EPM is structured, delivered, and presented provides a great model to pattern after. "

How has EPM and your success impacted your life?
"I feel so much more confident in myself ... that I have a message worthy of sharing, that there is a tribe out there that needs my message, and that it doesn't have to be perfect. I just have to put myself out there so that those who need my message can find me. That was a huge barrier before.
Once I am actually making money (and I expect this to happen in February), and can then repeat the process again and again, it will help in supporting my kids in college, meeting some family needs, and creating an extra stream of income that we haven't had, which will help us prepare for retirement. (My husband lost his job and couldn't find work for a year, so we had to use a good portion of our retirement money. I haven't felt secure since.) I feel like this is the key to finding both relief and security for our future. "

What has been the biggest change in your business?
Well, when I actually make $2,000 or more (as I expect to), that will be the biggest change. I haven't made $2,000 a year in my coaching business. And, I will have a legitimate online course that I didn't have before.

What is now possible for you because of your Experience Product?
"It is possible to realize my vision of having multiple online courses for sale. I'd eventually like them to be evergreen, but for now, I think adding the group coaching component as well as an interactive masterclass is ideal.
I don't actually have much interest in becoming well-known or growing my business to be huge and employing lots of people. I just want to connect with the people who need my message and help change lives and make a good living in the process. That hasn't happened yet, but now I believe it can and will!"
