"I was able to narrow down on the 4 keys components of learning French that are absent for most people learning French today, and which are the basis of 4 Experiencify courses""Before coming to EPM, I had invested in online training, but none of the recipes I was handed-down would work for me. I needed a launchpad, a platform where beginners’ first steps are in themselves laid-out and explained, in a “that’s the way you need to go & trust the process” fashion. Until hearing Marissa say that a business that is in starting gear needs steps that are different from the 6 figure business, I had not realised that the gift from previous trainings did not apply to me for that very reason: mine is at a different stage. No-one had ever mentioned it, nor made it that clear before. Thanks Marissa for the clarity!
In hindsight, I managed to ‘hit mission accomplished’ by drilling on the products I already had, but doing many, many pivots of 15% AND testing + getting feedback helped narrow down on what’s is truly necessary. I kept asking everyday:
“what else is missing for my niche customers right now to achieve their goals?”,
I came up with new ways to better serve my customers. These new tools are now going to be offered as Experiencify courses.
EPM gave me a framework and a space as the creative process was unfolding.
Let me explain:
For years now, I had been providing extra support, at no charge, prior to any French Group class starting. Years of that! Then, what EPM helped me see, what first the potential of this unique ad-on and how to turn it into a mini-course. And so sometimes in December, that’s what I did. I started promoting this ‘revision mini-course’ in my email list. Shortly before the course was supposed to start, 1 student emailed saying they’d paid! So I ran into creation mode since no content had been prepared. When I looked more into the subjects this ‘revision mini-course’ was suppose to focus on, it dawned on me these topics were the very subjects all my chatterboxing had shown as desirable: Tourism, Cinema + how to express oneself when going out.
So instead of letting it slip through my fingers under the banner of “It’s going to be too much work”, I immediately started to advertise this new mini-course to all of my email list, made of past students.
Within 3 days, I’d promoted the ""French-on-Steroids"" 5-hour intensive to everyone I knew, and I purposefully created content based on the fact this course would become part of the 'staple diet' I’d be offering to my students.
This is how EPM worked for me. Response to what-wants-to-emerge is something I can do more readily now.
In the weeks I did EPM, I did not work solely on 1 product. Learning a language has many different aspects. What I did is that I trialled and tested and promoted different mini and beta versions to my current email list. I tweaked the sales copy, branded them based on their benefits. In the to-and-fros of product creation, I was able to narrow down on the 4 keys components of learning French that are absent for most people learning French today, and which are the basis of 4 Experiencify courses.
When you combine those 4 courses, you get so much French through listening and tasks and stories that inevitably, the level of French will improve just in the areas which most people I spoke to using Chatterbox + emails surveys complained about not having enough help with.
These 4 elements are also going to be part of my 6 week to ‘French-CONFIDENT’ course at $997, which I will launch on Feb16th.
What I’m also hugely grateful for, is that, in some odd way, being in EPM even gave me the confidence to launch my first 5-day challenge around experiencing French during covid AND have fun. It worked, and that’s something I’ll be using beyond EPM.
Thank you for EPM. I am different now from the person I was when I signed up, for sure!
