I am relaunching my wellness business after a 5+ year hiatus. I happened to get an email about Marisa's webinar, and I knew after the 2nd one that this was a perfect way for me to relaunch. I was able to stay on track throughout the program because the content was all familiar to me. I've done all of this before, and I had content from a group coaching program I'd done successfully. Yet what was different was Marisa's best-in-class approach and the use of words to refine the mission and provide a much better copy. I enjoyed the program, and I launched it using just a few of the marketing strategies. It wasn't easy getting the 2 people, because I didn't have a list, I haven't been using social media in years, I wasn't able to chatterbox with people who really needed my help, and Covid made this more difficult. What I did have was a list of former clients, and 2 of them needed my help again. Here's the rub... I decided while talking with them in a clarity (give them an experience) session, to work with them 1:1 instead of in a group of 2. So while I developed the group program 1:few, I'm not going to be delivering it now. They both wanted more than just help with eating, and it didn't make sense to create the whole program for 2 people. What I now realize is I need to find a market (a further refined niche than professional women) that really needs what I have to offer, and I have some ideas.
What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?
I know what it takes to launch a program, and now I have the best tools to execute the process. The biggest takeaway is to get the offer right and do more chatterboxing.
I didn't really understand how to do chatterboxing, and I still find it challenging to engage someone about the way they eat or their healthy habits. It's awkward and so deeply personal, and it can come across as a judgment that they may need help.
I wish there had been more examples and a greater explanation of this marketing campaign at the beginning. I know I wasn't the only one struggling with it. But I do see that it's a critical element of nailing the offer and finding good prospects.
How did EPM help you become successful?
I'm not sure I'm successful yet, but it's given me the tools and knowledge to relaunch my business to be more successful the second time around.
How has EPM and your success impacted your life?
It's given me a good kick-start to being back in business, after not working for many years.
