I had just landed my dream job with the Air Force after working 32 years and ended up with heart failure shortly after. I was devastated but knew I couldn't continue with such an exciting but stressful position. I quit my job without an income because I was just shy of a full retirement. I was no longer able to think straight and perform at a level that I needed to. I had to focus on my health. I lost my income, my insurance and reason to wake up. I was in such a sad and dark place for such a long time. If not for having my faith, amazing family and friends, I might have given up. God kept nudging me to peruse something that makes my heart sing and gives me a reason to wake up each morning. Even though I had a business as a photographer and thoroughly enjoyed it, it was stressful at times. Getting everything perfect. But God, Gardening and Healthy Living gave me peace, so I truly feel like I was destined to teach little children how to grow up happy and healthy knowing in their little heart just how loved they are by God. I wanted to teach them what I disparately needed for myself. God and Gardening pulled me out of the pit I was in. I signed up for a Master Gardener Course with Utah State University, received my certification to teach and then I saw a webinar that talked about signing up for the Live Your Message course. I literally saw the message minutes before the webinar started. That was a God-cidence. Even if I had zero balance in my savings account, I took a loan out to pay for this course. Because I had tried to work in traditional positions outside the Government and would end up in the hospital because of the stress from the job. Even good stress would trigger my heart to beat out of rhythm. I couldn't win with a normal 9-5 and knew I had to design something that I could record on days when I had the energy and felt good and rest when my body yelled, "Uncle". Taking this course, and working with our amazing instructors and coaches, Marisa and my coach Maria, has given me a reason to bounce out of bed each morning and have something to look forward to. If people think they could do this on their own, I'm sure you can but not at this caliber. Do you want to design a Filet Mignon course or a Hamberger Helper course? First impressions are important and if you want your perspective client to trust you and know they are getting top notch training, this course is for you. How has EPM and your success impacted your life?
Gave me a reason to wake up again and something to help me improve my health so I can help others do the same.
What's your biggest takeaway from EPM?
Letting go of the fear of so many things. Starting, talking to other, designing, getting out of that frozen state, having the confidence to launch one day and help others.
What's now possible for you because of your Experience Product?
I have the tools and the knowledge to approach perceptive clients with my course and having the confidence that it's top notch.
