I have a chronic illness (Crohn's disease), and because I that I decided to coach people with chronic illnesses (I had known for a long time that I wanted to be a coach). I have coached people with chronic illnesses from around the world for many years. Many of my clients had major breakthroughs, but looking back, I can see that I didn't have a clue about how to build a business, and I never made nearly enough from my coaching to live on. Most of my clients also had emotional pain, and I found that my coaching helped them heal from it. And knowing that, I decided to focus on working with people who were struggling with anxiety and other emotional pain. But I still didn't know how to build a successful coaching business. Fortunately I didn't have to wait all that long before I was eligible to start receiving Social Security benefits I had earned from the engineering jobs I had before becoming life coach. And not too long after that, I met and fell in love with a woman who was a widow who owned her own home and had a good retirement income, so my Social Security income was all I needed to pay for my basic needs and quite a bit more. So I pretty much stopped coaching.
But Trump won a second term, and the Republicans started talking about the possibility of eliminating Social Security, so I decided to restart my coaching business. But I still didn't know how to make it successful. I bought and tried five courses, but each one left me feeling stuck, with important questions about what I needed to do unanswered. Actually, that's not quite true. In course number four, I found out about EPM, and from it I've gotten the answers I've been needing, and for that I am very grateful.
What's been the biggest change in your business?
I had let my coaching business die, so having a coaching business again is a huge change. But getting the information, support, and encouragement I needed to come up with my own irresistible offer (“Learn How to Calm Your Anxiety by Befriending It--and Yourself” Free Coaching Session) has made a huge change. I'm creating new business cards to give out and index cards to post, and the offer will soon be in countless emails. I've known for a long time that my coaching can make a big difference in people's lives, but I didn't know any way to connect with those people that wasn't hit or miss. While this irresistible offer isn't the only marketing method I will use, seeing the results it's getting has giving me confidence that I didn't have before.
How has EPM and your success impacted your life?
My partner has some serious health challenges, and as a result, I may have some significant financial challenges. What I've gotten from EPM has given me the confidence that I will be able to meet those challenges if they become real.
What's your biggest takeaway from EPM?
I'll make this short. I have two takeaways from EPM: Confidence and gratitude.
What's now possible for you because of your Experience Product?
I have a freedom to live, to enjoy life, and to make a difference in the world, that I didn't have before.
