Your FIRST SALE Story
"WARNING: I did not sell my MVP but I made my first sale resulting from a proposal I submitted thanks to CHATTERBOXING with a friend who recommended me for another service I offer.
So, if this counts and you want to hear it...
I was having a hard time with my core solution but I decided to let go of that and just talk about a piece of it to anyone who would listen. When I told a friend about women being ""sovereign"" (as a close alternative to ""empowered""), she liked it and recommended me for an International Women's Day event. I submitted a proposal with the attitude that it would potentially help me reverse engineer my core solution.
They took a while to acknowledge reception of the proposal but the timing was quite fun. I was in the EPM Closing Ceremony and had shared my FLUB - zero sales!!! - with Marisa and the whole cohort when my phone rang and the event organizer told me that they loved my workshop idea and actually wanted to have me for a bigger event later in the year where they will have a larger audience and more budget. The money is not in the bank but I'm taking this as a sign that whatever inner blockage was preventing my capacity to generate revenue is dissolving. And I have Marisa, the LYM Team, and the EPM community to thank for that!
Packaging a core solution. In the field of Personal Development Coaching, every darn issue is rooted in limiting beliefs so to choose ONE issue, ONE context, and ONE persona has been torture...until EPM! EPM is helping me overcome my inner obstacles to creating a profitable business and it is helping me enjoy the sales process rather than be daunted or turned off by it. I don't know if it is the biggest but it is another takeaway: confidence in my method and ability to create course modules. Before EPM, I had intuitively created an online course. The materials were excellent but my marketing sucked. EPM helped me recognize what I am good at and what I need to get better at. "REPETITION FROM THE MA STORY:
I have an award-winning film-director/producer friend who has been hounding me to spend a day with him to create 'something'. Although I wanted to engage, I did not feel like I could step away from my near-zero-generating business. I felt like this would be a distraction.
In the past week, I've realized that our partnership might be the key to the BIG DREAM I've had of producing a reality show where people come to learn about forgiveness and then are put in the same room as the offender...
