Your GRADUATION Story
"I wrote and published a wonderful book two years ago - an authorized biography about the incredible life and career of the longest-standing College Band Director in the United States. His legacy includes life lessons that can help Band Directors grow their programs and students develop their leadership skills. I have been longing to create an Instructor Guide and Student Guide to accompany the book, but there was so much involved, I wasn’t sure where to start - especially if I wanted it to be successful. So, I was thrilled to find out about The Experience Product Masterclass - because it is exactly what I wanted to create, a product that would provide fun, interactive experiences for Band Directors and Students alike! I learned that I don’t have to make it complicated to start. I already have the content and the modules basically outlined because of the organization and chapters in the book, but the format and structure of EMP taught me how to organize the extra support materials to help me connect with the audience in a way that will actually “sell” the product and provide the results THEY want in their band program. While I didn’t get to actually conduct the classes yet, because the financial resources are not available for the school to invest in the program at this time, I am able to provide the material to a local band director and collaborate with them as a beta test that will help me know for sure that this plane will fly, when I’m ready to fully launch it. I’m proud of what EPM helped me build, happy that it’s available for testing, and excited for when I get to put more of the plane together.

I have a plan for the product! I've been playing with it for a while, and now it is organized for when I am ready to take it to the next level. (aka - have the flexibility when I'm not working full-time and other family issues) I have greater confidence in my ability to create something of value. Progress over Perfection. I have been a perfectionist and not doing something perfectly from the start has been hard, so I very much appreciate the consistent reminder to just do the next best thing and it will be polished as we go. I am going to be able to take the valuable information in my book to the public - beyond just what is in the book- and make it tangible and experiential and fun for students - while also encouraging the value and importance of maintaining programs for music in schools.

The time required and the calendar timing of this round of the program created challenges for being able to complete more and do more at a higher level. While I did meet all of the milestones to graduate, I would have loved to have engaged more with the additional Monday and Friday calls - but as they were in the middle of my work day (for a job that I love and care about very much.) I also would have loved to apply some of the SuperCharge lessons while I had access to my Wednesday Coaching Pod Calls - but I already work 50-60 hours/week, and it was over the holidays with kid coming home from college - it simply wasn't feasible. I am grateful that the lessons are still available to me, along with the recordings of the coaching sessions. I LOVE the material - just didn't have sufficient extra hours to implement more.
