"I joined EPM because I wanted a business, although I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I had a business for about 10 years and closed it in 2019 as we planned to retire to Mexico in 2020. But then COVID happened. By mid-2021, I was getting really restless. I started looking online for things to do; dabbled in art, tried my hand at painting furniture, and signed up for a plethora of online courses on a variety of subjects. I wanted to have another business, but this time I wanted to do something creative. I was helping a couple of people (very sporadically) with writing their stories, so I decided to choose this for my product. EPM showed me that I really enjoyed doing this and that I could actually create a business helping people write their micro memoirs. With my previous business, I hired people to do all the things I did not want to do, like sales in particular, but entering EPM I decided I wanted to do and fully experience every aspect of launching a viable business.
I was intrigued and eager to launch before every detail was sorted out. I'm so glad I did this as the feedback was extremely helpful and motivating at the same time. I loved every bit of EPM....until I had to chatterbox. Sales was a big challenge. I knew this, but I also knew that I had to overcome my resistance and hesitation to ask for the sale. Long story short, going through the modules, taking to heart advice from our coaching calls and coachathons with Marisa, practicing and refining my chatterboxing script, and changing my mindset, I was able to overcome this challenge.
I'm graduating EPM today having made back more than my initial investment in the course, having a viable business product on hand, and having overcome my fear of sales--all in the company of some wonderful, supportive, and like-minded people from around the world.
