I wouldn't have known where to start creating an experience product. The training in EPM was exactly what I needed to take that first step forward. I loved checking off the XP. I am so grateful to Coach Matthew for sharing such detailed and helpful feedback on my milestones. This helped me keep moving forward all the way to graduation!
Your MISSION ACCOMPLISHED Story
My first chatterbox conversation I was so nervous. One of my past clients got on a call with me and said things like "this is divine intervention," and "I am just so grateful to be talking with you right now." It was a huge boost to my confidence and helped reveal a limiting belief I'd had that I was bothering people by getting them on the phone. I dread phone calls and was projecting that feeling onto other people when the opposite was true! This first time I made the offer she said no because of the price, but her eagerness to talk with me gave me the confidence I needed to keep chatting!
Your FIRST SALE Story
I was wondering where to start sharing my offer and decided on my homeschool membership. I went through the offer with them on a Zoom call, and then followed up with an email afterward. One of them emailed me back asking if I thought my new course would be a good fit for her. I went through a few reasons why I thought it would be...and she bought. It was an incredible feeling that she trusted me enough to buy a second time after already being in my membership.
Your PROVED MY IDEA Story
I was feeling reluctant about the chatterbox campaign because I'm a homeschool mom of four little kids. I have few childcare options and I really don't want to spend a lot of time away from my kids anyway at this stage. I'd really prefer just to work about 15 hours a week right now, mostly in the corners of my day. Having 1:1 phone calls that require focus and time seemed impossible. But I reached out to the EPM Facebook group to ask for ideas and encouragement. Afterward I realized it was mostly about my mindset: I wasn't eager to chatterbox. I decided I would create my own path: I didn't have to choose either 0 chatterbox conversations or 30. I could do a few with the time I had! So I did. I posted a Facebook template that Emily shared and got some responses, including a friend who tagged someone she knew. That person hopped on a call with me that night and ended up being my third buyer! It was an incredible feeling to close that sale!
What's been the biggest change in your business?
Streamlined workflow and step-by-step action-taking mean I am moving forward with less effort and less time away from my kids.
How's EPM and your success impacted your life?
Less cluttered mental load - my mind is a web of nonstop ideas and even though I'm fairly organized on paper my to do list tends to flood my thoughts and add stress and anxiety to my life. Having the whole course laid out gave me so much relief. The entire 12 weeks I felt so much peace knowing my forward growth was inevitable. This peace has translated into how I approach my work time, how I so easily put the work down to play with my kids, and how I have been more consistent taking care of myself as a human (not just a business owner). I have been meditating on what it means to live my message...that it isn't enough to teach homeschool moms about the value of slowness. In order for that message to truly transform their lives, I need to live it out! This knowledge is both convicting (and helps me stay accountable) but also relieving (it takes off the pressure for me to have it all together and how it's good to simply share my life with my people). I am so excited to see where my growth takes me next!
What's your biggest takeaway from EPM?
Any feeling I have about where I am in my business is a decision. I can decide to shift my focus which will move my reality forward.
What's now possible for you because of your Experience Product?
I have another way to help homeschool moms do less and worry less. Some seem like they aren't eager to commit to a membership (that I already had prior to EPM). Having a course helps diversify my offer stack. I am also eager to supercharge my MVP after this first paper plane flight is finished!
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Coach Matthew was funny, kind, and organized. I am beyond grateful for his mentorship during this course. He was always quick to respond, so kind to my pod mates who felt discouraged or emotional, and always encouraging to me when I shared ideas or asked for feedback. He went way above and beyond the call in my opinion. I am so grateful to the team for placing me with such a perfect fit coach. The only way to improve on this coaching experience would be if I could see a photo of Matthew and Marisa side by side.
