So I made the decision to support women in science, enrolled in a coaching program, got certified as a coach, and then thought, now what?! So I signed up with all the enthusiasm of a kindergartner on her first day of school. I soon uncovered limiting beliefs, as I went from someone who was an expert in her field to a rank beginner. Marisa's encouragement and phrases like "minimum viable" and "iterate your way" got me through some tough times. I stalled big time at the point where I had to describe my credibility, which challenged me in a way I had not been challenged in years. I finally moved past that (with much encouragement from Coach Mel), and motored my way through the remaining modules. I am so grateful for the step by step framework Marisa provides which resulted in me building out a 6 week 1:1 coaching program. Now I can move forward on my goal to support women in environmental science who struggle with purpose, isolation, and self-doubt, to breakthrough inner barriers and emerge as their confident, authentic selves so that they can show up in the world as the brilliant creator they are meant to be, inner critic be damned!
