"I was able to create a program that had supports and reinforcements incorporated to keep people motivated and feeling supported, successful and moving forward in their journey"I was having difficulty with creating a training program for parents of differently-abled children that would be engaging enough for parents to 1) want to start & 2) complete the entire training. I wasn't sure how to motivate parents - people who are already feeling overwhelmed and exhausted - to spend time and energy on something they might perceive as "one more thing" for their already full plate. I joined EPM because the idea of the Dopamine button and engaging the parents in a way that is inherently aligned with how the human brain functions really resonated with me and I felt that this might be the path the I had been looking for! I was able to create a program that had supports and reinforcements incorporated to keep people motivated and feeling supported, successful and moving forward in their journey. I took the conversation to the end, however the parent declined secondary to personal/financial reasons. However, I have their name on a list for a possible group program in the future =).
