LeRoy C King III

Your Graduation Story
I have spent several years working for not for profits as director and executive director, investing more time than was valued. My sweet spot was always helping marginalized people, businesses, and communities solve problems and build strategies forward. Working with those without resources and institutions was different sides of the same coin. I worked to bridge the gap between the two communities. My work with non profits were rewarding but increasingly I felt that what I brought to the table wasn't valued. My voice and value seem to diminish although they use my energy and talents to accomplish their own agendas at my expense. When the pandemic hit, I was laid of for a month and then the organization decided to downsize and eliminated my position. It was at this time I decided that I would lean in and work for my self. My mission hasn't changed. I'm just doing the work independently. But the training, one of many services I provide to organizations, I desired to do had to stellar. I was looking to create an experience, not just provide knowledge. This is when I came across EPM. I was ready for it. I signed up thinking that this has got to work. Me and my families future depended on this EPM thing to work out. The experience has been amazing. I learned more about my self. I learned more about my potential clients. And, I'm creating the product I was hoping to create. EPM is exactly what I was looking for to point my feet in the right direction. Although I haven't made a sale yet, I'm close to accomplishing my mission. Thank you Marissa and the entire EPM team for the investment you've made in me. I especially want to thank my coach Debra for her support throughout this process. Until Mission Accomplished - LeRoy
