"I have reinvented myself as an entrepreneur. I wake up every morning looking forward to working on my business.
"I started EPM with very little experience in running any business, much less an online business. But EPM allowed me to say I am all in on my new career as an entrepreneur. Unlike other business trainings, EPM pulls back the curtain on all the "secrets" of running an online business. I took each training seriously, sometimes watching a video more than once. I took notes, read the handouts, did the exercises and applied what I learned. I went to every coaching call and attended Mondays with Marisa and Fridays with Matt and Emily as many times as I could. The only thing preventing me from attending these overachiever events was my work on my business. I have no doubt I would have hit Mission Accomplished, except for the fact that I figured out the logistics of contacting teens, my idea clients, a bit late. I was only just meeting them in the final weeks of EPM. Sales is a numbers game and I didn't talk to enough teens to get the 6 full pay students I needed to hit 2K in sales for the 12 weeks. Although I didn't hit mission accomplished in sales, I most certainly hit mission accomplished with the knowledge I gained to run my business.
What is your biggest takeaway from EPM?
Take everything step by step. Push through the disappointments and setbacks, because success is right around the corner.
How did EPM help you become successful?
EPM gave me the knowledge necessary to run an online business. Were it not for EPM, I would still be floundering, picking up tidbits here and there and trying to apply them. The community and coaching were also invaluable. The coach validated what I did right, and gently corrected when I needed it. She provided guidance all along the way. The community was always there to provide support. Learning that others were having problems similar to mine was helpful. I picked up strategies and techniques by reading what they did to overcome their problems.

What has been the biggest change in your business?
I have a concrete plan to move forward.
What is now possible for you because of your Experience Product?
I have seven years of experience teaching online courses at the university level. I believe the Experiencification takes online teaching to a new level. Some of what Marisa teaches are established best practices, such as creating community and attending to the individual needs of students. But some ideas are revolutionary. Gaming in education has been around for decades. But the way she gamifies the online course through the use of points, online celebrations and validation can positively transform online education.
