"I earned about $6000! More than just the money, I'm grateful for my newfound clarity that THIS is what I enjoy doing for peopl"I started working on this type of business in 2011... Back then, I created a course I was so excited about, but didn't really know what I was doing, so only attracted a handful of "beta" students, and it never really got off the ground. For several years, I touched on the thing I wanted to do - help entrepreneurs create engaging online and hybrid courses - but my marketing was cluttered with an "I'll do anything (typically tech) you need" approach. As a result, I ended up doing a lot of grunt work for things I didn't really enjoy, and made OK money at it. The last 3 years I've been slowly heading in the direction I want, but often complained about all the work I still didn't enjoy "having" to do. EPM gave me the push to really give it my all and get the clarity to focus on exactly what I wanted to do, with confidence. In December, I provided my primary (grunt work) client with the service I really wanted to -- work on her new virtual event format (which was an in-person event for nearly 20 years!). She hired me again to design and run her January virtual workshop, so collectively with planning and operating the event, I earned about $6000! More than just the money, I'm grateful for my newfound clarity that THIS is what I enjoy doing for people - helping them to create engaging, innovative online programs and virtual events. I am working on my new website, and excited to get more ideal clients! One final note... though we did not get the client (yet), a chatterboxed to connect with someone who was getting leads she didn't want for virtual events, and we submitted the largest proposal I've ever asked for. We started with $20-$80K, and they returned saying $15K was the most they could do. They are still deciding who to hire, but I have never felt confident to ask for this much money, and it really let like I leveled up my mindset to be open to this potential "new normal" of income! I'm excited for 2021 and things to come! Thank you Marisa, Coach Mark, and the EPM team and students for all your support and encouragement!!
